  1. i agree with pookey. unfortunately i just had the same problem last friday. i ended up going to er because i was in so much pain. the doc said i had 2 options: be admitted and let the nurses remove it.or go home and remove it myself. i chose to do it myself. doc said get an enema and stool softeners and just do what i can. i didn't use the enema, but one the hard stuff came out i did use the stool softeners to keep things moving. it sucks but you have to do it. take Fiber supplements, like metamucil, afterwards too. good luck and i'm sorry you have to do this.

  2. sounds like she is using you as an excuse to talk to him. i think she is hoping your relationship is suffering and she can be the "sympathetic" friend. maybe you should talk to her and let her know it bothers your hubby.

  3. So I've been thinking a lot about why I used to eat the way I did. I drove by Long John Silver's today and briefly felt a longing to eat there. Then I asked myself, "Why?" It was then I realized that fast food and any junk food was easy. I didn't have to worry about the Protein content. I didn't count how many calories the food contained. I would chug a 32oz soda and never once think about how much Fluid I still needed for the day. It was easier to give in than to work hard for what I really desired: a thin, healthy body. There are foods I do actually miss the taste of, but for the most part, I just miss not having to work so hard to lose weight. I must say I am very proud of myself for having the strength to keep on driving past the fast food restaurants. I've lost 49lbs and I will NOT look back and miss who I used to be. :D

  4. I didn't have any issues. Don't try to eat anything before you are supposed to. Even at 3 months out I have to be careful. I usually stick to soft foods because anything dense makes me pretty uncomfortable. I have a Protein Shake every morning for Breakfast because I have a lot of restriction in the mornings and food is impossible lol. The rest of the day I eat cheese, greek yogurt, Beans and lunchmeat. Those are my go-to foods. Good luck!!!

  5. Mina, I agree with the others that your post is inspiring and educational. I do want to mention, however, that I went to Mexico to have my surgery. I understand why you mentioned Mexico patients(we do not get the six month diet, etc) but not every patient is ill-prepared. My weight loss has been a little slower lately, but I'm okay with that because I learn more this way. I exercise at least 5 times/week, drink almost nothing but Water and choose healthier eating options. I actually think Mexico patients do well because we are self-pay and so we don't want this to be a waste of money due to our own failure. I am far from perfect, but because of the support system I have and my own determination, I will NOT fail :)

  6. I am hoping this video will post. If not, it is Slimmfast's latest video on YouTube. She had her surgery done by Dr. Kelly, but is now following up at a bariatric clinic in the states. She's 5 months out and has some good info. Thanks for reading!!
