  1. I like it! But it took a minute to get used to it..

I buy the Fage 2% (I don't want total fat free)

And but a little bit of sugar substitute but not to much because I'm starting to like the tangy taste and some frozen blueberries.. Yummy and 20 grams of Protein :)

Oh and for kicks I looked at the "frozen yogurt"

Section at the store?? Crap a sham and just part of the advertising scheme to get you to think something is "healthy"

FAGE 2% is the fuel this love machine runs on !!

  2. Stay the course, is the best advise I was given! Cover the basics, logging EVERYTHING that goes in your mouth on MFP can help. sometimes calories are higher or lower than we think, also that app helps to determine where they are coming from. Take Vitamins , Calcium is important too, hydrate, exercise, sleep, be kind to yourself put the scale away and weigh weekly while losing and you will see it going down. That said, I heard a rumor that chocolate soft serve ice cream has broken many a stall. Cheat day anyone!!

  3. I am down a 100# and man I feel great. anyone wondering if you should have this surgery the answer is YES. I was on 600mg of blood pressure medication daily. And was about to be put on medication for diabetes. Now I'm of all medication' date=' my daily blood pressure reading is about 117/78. I paid cash for my surgery and it was worth every penny.[/quote']

    Nice work!!

  4. And I could be wrong but you are asking about the people that have true regrets not just the first week or two of "what the f**k did I do?"

I think if you wake up and realize 85% (or so) of a non diseased major organ was removed and don't ask, what the eff did I do? you probably have much larger issues than your weight! But the people who "this didn't get real for" until post op ... What do you say ? The reality is that it's gone and ain't going to grow back

  5. Hey :-)

I feel the best thing you can do to help him is to keep talking. Make sure you tell him all the reasons that you tell us' date=' if you haven't already. If food has been center stage in a lot of the things you do together, maybe it's partially a commonality fear. Is it possible that any of his concerns stem from watching your frustration from the band and he is afraid you'll be let down by yet another tool? I ask this because my mom was very much against this surgery until I got her to unload all her reasons so we could talk about them. I have no doubts that your hubby loves you and maybe just needs a reminder that it's sooo important for you to love yourself enough to live your best life so you will be around to puree said corn after he no longer has the teeth to chew it. :-)[/quote']

    And that's what's up!!

  6. Welcome rich. I'm not sure I understand the question or the arithmetic !! Keep sipping Water

it's more important in the first days ! Can you call your dr. And get clarification ? I used powdered Protein and less skim milk in it early out, I didn't know they counted towards liquids I was trying to drink 64 oz Water and three shakes a day with a new sleeve it was a struggle. Hang in there it gets easier!!!

  7. I started the first phase of preop on Thursday. 2 weeks of 800 calories-less than 15 grams of fat and 30 grams of protein' date=' over 65 grams of Protein. The trick is to find the right combination! I met with a friend of mine who had a gastric bypass while I was in the process of deciding whether to have surgery done, and she said the wisest thing which I remember in the moments of self pity when I really miss my coffee. She said "preop was the easiest diet I ever did because I knew that in the end I was NEVER going to gain that weight back."[/quote']

    But why no coffee ?

  8. I see nothing wrong with deserving some popcorn. If you want the popcorn have the popcorn. I had some popcorn. It was very tasty. And not only that - I had said popcorn at the movies ( waiting for mortified gasp of horror from the popcorn analysts )! It was delicious' date=' it did not send me into a spiral into banned food hell, and I was able to recognize when I was full and put it down. Didn't gain a single ounce from my dastardly deed.

Have the popcorn! Personally, I think I deserve a huge t-bone steak. Too bad I would only be able to eat 3 bites. Maybe I'll have more popcorn instead. I was able to eat 10 to12 bites of it.[/quote']

I so glad it all comes so easy for you! I chose to change some of the behaviors that helped get me so fat, food rewards was one of them! Enjoy your steak!!

  9. Blah blah it's not healthy, it is healthy, stuck in the colon or between your teeth! The telling part is not the popcorn, it's the behavior of rewarding yourself with food !!! Why can't the improved health of going to the gym or some new clothes or spa time be your reward? The fact that you feel you " deserve " some popcorn is scary to me! I had to take a good look at that and make changes there myself !! Good luck to you!
