I am 65 and have checked with medicare and my supplemental policy and they will pay for approved surgery for me. At 65 I've tried everything and do not have the $$ to keep spending on things that don't work (or that I don't work) .. so why not try something that does. I want to enjoy my remaining years with my grandchildren and great grandchild in better health and with more vigor. My first visit with the surgeon is tomorrow and I can't wait to get started.

My first appointment is April 30 with the surgeon. I have so far to go, but hopefully will have support on this sight. Will be watching your journey and hope both our journeys are successful.

I have a BMI of 37 and have just attended my my seminar 2 weeks ago. I have my first appointment with the surgeon 4-30 and so very excited and hopeful. Have found out will be able to have Medicare and my insurance pay for it. How amazing! Never had insurance help pay for W.W., or Jennie Craig. Family and friends are not very encouraging, but they just don't understand!! I'm 65 and can't imagine continuing this course. I don't want to be a fat grandma and great grandma. And hon, I'd give anything to be a 16 again! But I remember when I hated the idea. I could go on and on, but what I'm most afraid of is losing my best friend ... and not be able to eat as much. I'll have to find a new addiction, but would rather not.
