    Does your weight do this?

I'll be interested to see if that's how I lose. Historically it is, a week of a big loss followed by one of no loss, and two of little losses. My scale finally moved a pound after a 2 week stall so the next couple weeks will tell if I'm going to continue to lose the same way

    Trying to decide

Very easy recovery...at least for me! The worst part was the one night I spent in the hospital but they gave me good drugs. Came home with liquid vicoden and only took 2-3 doses of that. I even got lucky enough to hardly have any gas pains (but then again I'm pretty sure my surgeon uses pixie dust or something)

    Trying to decide

I had the band from 2008 to 2010 and lost a grand total of 50#. In 2010 it slipped and I had to have it removed. After regaining all my weight and feeling like crud I finally decided to get the sleeve. I was sleeved almost 5 weeks ago and already I can tell you the sleeve is NOTHING like the band. I can eat small quantities of almost anything, nothing gets stuck, haven't thrown up once. And best of all if I include my pre-op weight loss I have lost 43#! That's almost what I lost the entire 2 years I had the band! Do some research...there are lots of us on here who are sleeved after the band. And overall, I think the general consensus is the sleeve is everything the band was supposed to be! Good Luck!

    NSV Continued

Looked back over my blogs and I realized I blogged about the day we went to the Third Day Concert (almost a year ago) and the shirt I wanted to wear didn't fit. Fast forward to today and I am wearing that shirt..the one that didn't fit!!! Hopefully the picture will attach. The pic on the left was last year and it's a picture of the Concert picture...but you get the idea. The one on the right is today. Not a before and after, but definitely a before and during!!

    Scales

Yes Ma'am...I'm pretty sure mine is broken! It's been stuck on the same number for quite awhile now...LOL!! I only let myself weigh once a week or I will get obsessed with the number....a low number means a good day, a higher number? Watch out family, I'm on the warpath!
  8. I am one month post op....Down 19# since surgery 43# total, and 10-3/4 inches lost from all over my body. I have a ways to go, but I can see some changes!

    3 Weeks Post Op

Today was my 3 week post op appointment. I am doing incredibily well, all incisions are healing nicely, no side effects, no problems. I can drink all the liquid I need to, and am getting all my protein. I have been cleared to slowly and carefully start adding in other foods. And best of all I have lost 19 lbs since surgery and 43 total since I started the pre-op diet. 43!!! That is only 7 lbs less than I lost the entire 2 years I had the lap band. For anyone who is trying to decide between the lap band and the sleeve, or anyone considering converting from the lap band to the sleeve. I cannot say strongly enough...Go For The Sleeve!!! The difference is night and day. With the band I could eat very little, but I was always hungry (still had my whole stomach) with the sleeve, I can eat very little and I can honestly say I am full. For example at lunch today I had 4 oz of cottage cheese and 2 oz of imitation crab, and I couldn't finish it. Not only oould I physically not finish it, but I was honestly full! Whoot Whoot!!! Before the sleeve, I told my husband I never felt full until I was stuffed (which might explain my obesity I am so glad I did this!!! My husband says I'm melting before his eyes! Heaviest Weight: 281 3/6/13 Surgery: 257 (-24) 3/13/13: 251 (-6) 3/20/13: 245 (-6) 3/28/13: 238 (-7)

    1 Month Post op

Thanks so much! I'm trying to keep my head in the right place....I do have my moments! You know, when you just want to throw the scale out the window??
  11. Thanks so much for posting this. I needed to read it. I am also one month out today. And I really am trying to keep a good attitude about the stall I am in. I have lost 19 since surgery with a total loss of 43, so I know that my body need to adjust. Today I took my one month pictures and I can see a difference, it's not a huge difference but it is there. AND I took my meansurements and I am down 10-3/4 inches. So these are all good things. I am only letting myself weigh once a week but it was the same as it was at my 3 week mark. I guess I just needed to see someone else put it into words. Although I will admit that even though I'm not completely freaked out it would be really nice to see the scale start moving...LOL

My bra fits better... And worse.

I can relate! My husband keeps telling me they are disappearing, I just tell him I need a better bra

    Onederland!

So happy for you!!! I'm sure when I finally get back under 200 my whole neighborhood will hear me scream!!! Keep rockin' your sleeve!
  16. Vicki0618

    Still not seeing it...?

How long was your stall? I lost 19# in the first 3 weeks. Then last week nothing (which I sorta expected) but now I'm wondering how long I'll get to sit here before it starts moving again.

    Greek Yogurt Recs?

I like Dannon Light & Fit Greek. It does have fruit on the bottom but it has the least sugars I have found (outside of getting plain and flavoring it) 80 cal, 9 carb and 12 protein

    Manicotti cups...yum!

Yummy! I printed that out and i think I'll be trying it this weekend! Looks like something even my hubby would like!

None Scale Victories of the week :)

...and there is nothing wrong with smiley faces....

None Scale Victories of the week :)

LOL...I just did a blog this week about my NSV. I agree, we have to keep our eyes open for the little things we don't think about. Those things aren't as obvious as the scale but in the long run I think they are more important! And you reminded me of 2 others that I didn't put in my blog. I can lean down to tie my shoes without being out of breath. And my libido is also at a whole new level....my "poor" hubby got attacked the other day (middle of the day with the kids home We got done and he was like "ummm...ok....this works for me LOL
  22. I'm not laughing at you...I'm laughing with you. I have woke up the past couple days with a headache, yesterday I had myself all worked up cause "what if it's a blood clot in my brain?" The headache went away so I'm pretty sure it's all in my head!! Tomorrow is 4 weeks since surgery so I'm hoping I'm getting past the point where that could happened...if not, don't tell me!
  23. I totally get it. When I wear something more fitted I feel like I can see all the rolls, and back fat. UGH! I'm getting better though. My daughter and step-daughter are both really good about giving me real feedback on how things fit. They both know what my "triggers" are and they will let me know if they can really see the back fat or if I'm just being overly sensitive about it. Can't ask my husband cause the tighter the better for him...LOL!!
  24. Good Job!!!! You look fabulous, I love your smile!!!!! Has anyone told you, that you look like Fergie....LOL
  25. Definitely losing inches!!! Keep it up!
