  1. Yeah there is nothing to compete over, I am married with kiddos and happy...she is young, single and thinish doesn't make sense.
  2. Ugh why do women bring other women down? Sabotage your weight loss efforts? That is awful! It is interesting how I get more support on this forum than I do with people that are "friends" of mine.
  3. Don't apologize, this is a place to get it all out right? Come to think of it she is a big time attention seeker. I bet after weight loss she won't want to hang out with me any more. Sucks to realize you're just the fat friend
  4. I wasn't sure where to post this because I am not banded yet but here it goes... Now that people are finding out that I am going to get the band I am already being treated differently and not in a good way. I have a friend, that is at the weight I would like to be, that complains to me that I will be all skinny and she will feel fat. Seriously? I thought she would be happy for me to start this process but she doesn't even want me to talk about it. Has anyone else experienced this before or even after they got the band? I'm so confused.
  5. Yes please keep in touch I have my consult, psych eval, and one on one with the nutritionist on May 16th. I am so excited and want to get this process moving so I can see if I am approved or not. Maybe we will get banded this summer around the same time
  6. I fell in love with the journey itself...I like that! I haven't been banded yet, but I think I'm gonna write this down to remind me when I am fully in my journey.
  7. Yes keep us updated! I am excited for you!
  8. Ugh I did my first sleep study and just got the results back this week saying I need another one. I was suppose to do a split night and be fitted the second half of the night but they didn't do it. My doctor says it's a money game where I live and they do it to get two tests out of your insurance. Hopefully this won't stall my process of getting approved.
  9. Geez 10% that seems ridiculous.
  10. I love Lapband Talk Everyone is so supportive and I feel like I have people that understand what I am going through. Thanks for keeping positive thoughts!
  11. Not that I am aware of but my surgeon was saying since it is still new I might be able to get it for free. Either way I would self pay for plication add on because it sounds like what I am looking for
  12. I don't even live in Texas but my husband works off-shore, his plan has been good to us so far so lets hope it continues to be!
  13. That is a great idea! I worry that I am getting the wrong information. For now, at least until my consultation I am sticking with the pre-op diet. Thanks for the advice
  14. Keep at it I am sure you will hit the green zone I am thinking of having plication with my band because I am afraid I will struggle losing the weight otherwise.
  15. The BCBS rep is the one that initially told me
  16. I found the policy on-line (I have BCBS of Texas) and it says what the rep did, no six month diet any more!
  17. Nice hopefully mine will go as smooth!
  18. Sort of? Why sort of?
  19. So I am almost finished with my third month of pre-op diet. I called BCBS today to find out about the nitty gritty of the coverage requirements so I am ready when my consultation comes around. The rep tells me that this year the requirements changed and you don't need the 6 month pre-op diet any more. Does anyone else know if this is true? I don't want to get too excited to find out later that she was wrong.
