Yes please keep in touch I have my consult, psych eval, and one on one with the nutritionist on May 16th. I am so excited and want to get this process moving so I can see if I am approved or not. Maybe we will get banded this summer around the same time

I fell in love with the journey itself...I like that! I haven't been banded yet, but I think I'm gonna write this down to remind me when I am fully in my journey.

I went to my first seminar yesterday and got all jazzed up for the lapband. One thing that threw me off was the option of plication with lapband. It sounds great, like an upgrade that causes more restriction with no cutting. Has anyone had this done?

2Nd Sleep Study Needed (Anyone Else Have This)?

Ugh I did my first sleep study and just got the results back this week saying I need another one. I was suppose to do a split night and be fitted the second half of the night but they didn't do it. My doctor says it's a money game where I live and they do it to get two tests out of your insurance. Hopefully this won't stall my process of getting approved. -

Not that I am aware of but my surgeon was saying since it is still new I might be able to get it for free. Either way I would self pay for plication add on because it sounds like what I am looking for

I don't even live in Texas but my husband works off-shore, his plan has been good to us so far so lets hope it continues to be!

That is a great idea! I worry that I am getting the wrong information. For now, at least until my consultation I am sticking with the pre-op diet. Thanks for the advice

Keep at it I am sure you will hit the green zone I am thinking of having plication with my band because I am afraid I will struggle losing the weight otherwise.

I found the policy on-line (I have BCBS of Texas) and it says what the rep did, no six month diet any more!
