  1. I have been having gallbladder attacks as well I didn't know what was going on and I wasn't able to eat anything and became very dehydrated and had to be put in the ER when they found out it was my gallbladder they quickly emptied my band and haven't had heart burn since. I am scheduling my gallbladder removal tomorrow. Maybe you should have your band unfilled just a little I know the heart burn is terrible and as soon as my band was empty it was instant relief... Hope you feel better soon

  5. I was banded in may of 2012 and I have lost 65 pounds but for the past 2 weeks I haven't been able to keep down hardly anything. I am a sophomore in college and my stress levels are through the roof, and this situation just adds to the stress I called my doctor today and they told me that if it continued to call back on Monday and set up an appt. Sometimes with I try to eat or drink I have terrible heart burn but this is very recent. Does anyone know what's going on or have any idea ??

Did You Keep Your Surgery A Secret?

I know that before surgery I was worried that people would judge me. But then I realized I had the surgery to make me happy. And not to mention when you start losing weight that fast people start to ask questions and you can only lie for so long. Now I am proud to say that I have had lap band and I am happy now.
  7. I have my first fill tomorrow and I can't wait to get it because I want the weight to come off as fast as possible and also because I don't think that I have lost any weight since surgery ... It may be me being negative and hard on myself but I am scared not only for the fill up also to step back on the scale !!

    May Bandsters!

Surgery tomorrow !!!!!! So nervous but I can't wait to not be hungry any more. I have been on liquids for a week and I am starving!!!
  14. And as far as the diet it is a protein shake for every meal, 2 protein bars and sugar free pudding and jello. The up side of the diet is the occasional sugar free fudge pop. and the wonderful 64 oz of water a day
  15. I did not have to do the 6 months because I am self pay. My process has been since December but it would have been quicker but I had to schedule appointments around college. My pre-op has been a week as of today and I have lost 6pounds. The pre-op could be as long as 14 days depending on you size, because the reason for the liquid pre-op is to shrink your liver. My surgery is Friday and honestly it feels like I have been waiting for ever and this week of liquids has been the longest week of my life.
