  1. I read this too and got kind of scared too. I hope I wake up sleeved.
  2. I'll have to try that. Sounds like a good idea. My next post I want to show all the protein shakes I purchased. I have the same protein Jello. lol.
  3. Be careful. I had a co-worker who was scheduled for her VSG when she went to get her gallbladder ultrasound they found out she was preggars. Her surgery has been postponed for obvious reasons.
  4. I am vlogging. This is a link to my first video. = I should be getting better. I was holding the ipad. I am going to try next time to record with my phone. Not sure how to hold the camera. In any case I subbed. Please feel free to sub to me. I am scheduled June 15th.
  5. Drink the water and stuff your pockets with weights. Maybe the weighted wrist bands.
  6. I Dont have my surgery until June15th. I am seriously sick. I find myself eating awful foods and then I get depressed. I am trying so hard to stop.
  7. I am not post op but I thought mucas is a symptom of sliming. I am new but I learned about it on this site. Sliming happens when you have eaten too much. For those post opers please let me know. Is this just something to expect?
  8. For those of you who are post op what do you wish you had known before the surgery?

I thought she got the Allergen lapband. Good for her. I applaud her for having the courage to do something so public in front of the world. I am for what ever WLS works.
  10. I want to live life on my own terms. Right now I am merely existing. There is so much more to life and I deserve to be around to enjoy it. I owe it to myself and everyone I love and who love me. Ok before I break into song because life is for living.
  11. I can't wait to feel normal. Can't wait to have my knees feel better as I walk up stairs. Can't wait to shop at H&M or any normal non plus size store. Can't wait for June 15th although I am scared #%*#.
  12. You have the same problem I have. I hate taking pictures because I am so unhappy with how I look. You have to start taking picture now, otherwise you won't be able to see the difference. I am sure you look fabulous. As you have lost 67 lbs, you definitely look different. Congrats on your loss! Please celebrate your success. I know it was not easy.
  13. Mews, did the air from the CPAP increase the gas in your tummy? I am kind of worried about this part.
  14. I read somewhere that 70% of overweight adults have sleep apnea. I was surprised to find that I have sleep apnea. My apnea seem to happen in my REM sleep so I had to come back for the CPAP titration. The machine is the best sleep I have ever had. I haven't gotten my machine yet but I will probably get it next week. I checked into the reasoning via google and there is some correlation between sleep apnea and mortality rates of Wls patients. I want to be here and it's why I am doing the surgery so any extra precautions are fine with me. the Bariatric Coordinator told me I had to do it before she applied to the insurance which is why I did it first. I think it may have been used as a comorbidity for me since I don't have diabetes or hbp.
  15. I am so happy for you. congrats!
  16. I pretty much told everyone who works directly with me that my surgery is scheduled. I really feel like this is something I need to do. I am not apologetic or embarrased about needing help and why should I be? I am not going to do a Starr Jones. Yes it none of their business but if someone asks I will tell them. Of course I haven't had the surgery yet so maybe I will feel differently after. I am proud to have made the decision. Besides the people I work with for the most part have responded pretty positively. I am new to the forum so I just want to add that I am in no way glorifying my weight gain but I have to be able to forgive myself before I can make any progress. Real talk
  17. Congratulations! Here's to a speedy and pain free recovery.
