How Often Do You Eat Socially Now?
I have a group of friends that meet once a month. First I'm five weeks post op today. Last Thursday was my first time out since March with the group. However, I ordered a salad knowing I wasn't goin to eat it. My eyes have always been bigger than my stomach and now it's literally true. But it felt good to leave food on my plate for a change and to have others ask for my food.

May Bandsters!
It's a mental challenge. I had surgery on April 11. I don't think I know anyone that wants to fail. I never 2nd guessed myself yet wondered why I didn't do it 4 years ago. I have to remind myself that my eyes are still bigger than my stomach. I am scheduled for my first fill on May 24th. I can't wait cause I'm ready for my challenges.

Day 12 Post Opp. An Hungry
the last couple of days have been crazy.. I have been so starving until my stomach sounds like a train. I am 11 days post-op. The grits made me hungrier, so I finally broke for a small piece of baked fish. It satified me for the moment but decided to have some more protein drink. However I was started to go the amount of recommend protein for a day.

I have been sipping and taking it extremely slow. My sister told me to drink a hot beverage with carbonation; it helped for that day and resumed the next day.

I Need Some Motivation
In my opinion, the opposite sex fears change. You know the opposite sex will look at you different. I asked my boyfriend to put his feelings aside and look at my struggle. Good luck. As I tell my friend, I am glad the Lord takes souls and not body because mine won't be recognizable.

A New Beginning A New Me-5 Days Post-Op
I am five days post-op. I am feeling good. I walked 2.5 miles this morning, I had gas in my shoulder yesterday and thought I was going to pass out. Finally, my oldest sister, who is two years post op told me to drink a hot soda to relieve the gas. Lord knows I didn't want to but I think it save my life definietely from the pain. I am moving around great but has a lot of gas. Really believe it's from the pre-op diet of broth which can be greasy. My initial weight was 212 pounds; heaviest weight: 222; I lost 12 pounds during the two weeks pre-op diet phase. Day of surgery I weighed in at 200 pounds. Today, I am at 199.0. Not much difference.
