Gus is a rarin' to go. Santa's coming early in the morning. We're going to sprinkle spme reindeer food (Glitter and oatmeal) before bed on the lawn so that they can have a snack while they wait.
  2. Hang in there Julie. Just sit back and relax and dream about how you'll feel so much better and look even hotter when you get healed. You're amazing and thank you for being so open with us!

My port stayed sore, and never has become "unsore." I know the gas gets olds, but just hang in there. I got frustrated when I didn't start feeling better after about four days, but just make yourself walk. You'll wake up one morning and feel pretty darn good in the next few days.

Ahhh...I can't believe I've been suffering through 3 too tight fills and didn't realize it. They took out half my fill and I feel LOADS better. I still have some restricition, and I'm sure it will get a little tighter in the next couple of days, but I can eat a little and drink a little now. Geez that hurt bad this morning. Y'all try not to get any pills or anything else stuck in your band, it was awful pain...more than right after surgery! I will make sure they give me tiny little fills from here on out. Dr. K said that since I had lost 6lbs in 4 days, that was a good indicator that I need a little unfill. I'm so thirsty this evening from not drinking enought the past two days too. I feel much better now that I've had some yogurt and an avacado for supper and I'm looking forward to lots of H2O! I would have posted sooner, but I had to have a visit with Santa after the doc's office to tell him about the good little boy at our house!

RIght after I made that post, I realized that I have a vitamin lodged in my band. It took about 2 hours to go through. I have an appointment at 3 this evening to get some taken out. I'll let you know how it goes.

HELP! I don't have time to look through all the pages to find out the answer to this question (I'm at work): If one of the Drs. take some of you fill out because you're too tight, do they take it all or just some? In the mornings I'm having a hard time swallowing Water and my Vitamins and supplements, but I can eat okay in the evenings. Right now I'm sliming on water and vitamins and I know I'm probably too tight. I don't want them to take out all that fill they gave me on Thursday though!

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm slimEfast! I got my 3rd fill today. My last one was in August. He didn't say for sure, but I think it may have been a 1/4th of a regular fill. I feel things going down much easier this time...maybe this is a normal one. Though, it makes me nervous that it might not be tight enough. I'll give it two weeks and we'll see. BUT...I'm not hungry this evening! Good luck mylap!

I am starving this morning and in between meals! I hope that meals Dr. H will give me a teeny tiny fill tomorrow.

Here's something neat I saw today. In January's Ladies Home Journal there is a full page advertisement for Dr. H & K! I thought it was really cool. It's in the back of the mag. Maybe it will convince my brother to come down here and do it this summer.
  13. Y'all look great! I'll try to find a decent before and have my hubby take a during when we get time over the holidays! I'm so proud of you all!

I took your advice, TP. I took, Dozer, my 200+lb Mastiff for a walk. We didn't make it that far because he decided he was tired, and there's no moving him when he sits. I managed to coax him by talking about the hotdog he'd get when we got home. We did have a half hearted game of fetch for about an hour afterward and we did have some fun chasing the cat and dragging me behind. I guess it was better than no calories burned!

TP - I usually eat soup at lunch. My band doesn't want to open until about 4-5pm. Then I can eat more than I should. All morning and midafternoon, I can hardly eat anything. Hoep everybody is doing good! I'm going to try even more exercise to get out of this slump I'm in this week. Please hound me about it if you will!

Glo - My family is all chipping in $25 to donate to Project Smile. They are an organization that helps kids with cleft palettes to get them corrected. Together we will have enought to pay for one operation. We did it last year and we got pictures an a letter from the little girl.

TP - That's great! Thank you for sharing your story. It has really opened my eyes and I'm going to be UBER careful! I'm doing great. Kind of at a pleateau. I know I gained 2lbs on Thanksgiving and I've been working hard to get it off. No sickness in 2 weeks now. I hope Dr. H will give me an tiny fill on the 10th to help...defintely less than the .6 he gave me last time. Nothing much more to tell...just trying to get the Christmas break with all these teenage students! 2 1/2 more weeks!

Did this theft happen in Texarkana?
IS there anything a consumer can do to protect themselves from this happening? Geez, I didn't think it would be so easy!

I am so sorry TP. I use my debit everywhere too. I never carry money. I guess, I'll revert to writing checks and trying to keep money on me. How horrible for this to happen at the beginning of the holidays. How will you be able to prove it stolen? Is your bank working with you? Please educate me on what to do if it happens to me when you get it figured out! I go back on the 10th to see if I need to be filled or unfilled. So far it's been about 7 days and no being sick. Though I did weigh myself today after dinner and I've gained about 5lbs...eek...I did drink a lot though. I'll try again in the morning!

WHat theif? What resturant? RELIEF! Upper GI wasn't so bad. Nothing to it! Radiologist said everything looked good and didn't see any hernia. He said I could possible be a little too tight, but it seemed to be flowing good this morning. I think I'm going to take my 3 weeks until I go back to PS and see what happens. I haven't been sick in about 7 days. That's really good for me! I guess I just have a bigger stomach (more tissue) than most so I'm extra tight on little fills. I'm just happy it hadn't slipped and hopefully no more surgery for a while! I'm really going to work on getting enough water and eating slowly this time around...and uh...exercise like I was doing this summer!

Know ing what I know now, I'd have some out if I were you, tp. Talk to them and see what they think. I thought my second fill would losen up in a few days after it and it took 5 weeks to do it! That was about 12 weeks ago and it may STILL be too tight! I could only take three bites...so you're tighter than I was! I'll post what happens with mine when I get back home tomorrow. I have to be there at 8am. Good Luck!

GO LISA! YEAH! I didn't get a fill. Dr. H wants to do an upper GI on Wednesday morning. He thinks it might be a tiny hernia that they couldn't see during surgery, if not that, then I'm defintely too tight and we will give it time and then a tiny unfill. I go back on Dec. 10th to see what's going on. I'm a little nervous about the upper GI, but I would feel better if they can get a look at it and maybe decide if I have a really big stomach (as if we didn't already know that! lol) on the inside or something is wrong. He said I should be a little more comfortable than I am right now and that maybe I need less fills than the rest of you because I have a big stomach (this has been sugarbear's theory all along!) Honestly, though, none of my problems started until I had a fill. We'll see and I'll keep you updated.

Speaking of drinking, can we drink beer? I prefer it to other things and really would like a sip or two. If not, what about hard apple cider?
