  1. And I'm not the least bit of a picky eater!
  2. I'd rather do this pre-op diet of slim fast and nothing else but crystal light and s/f jello than eat that horrible NutriSystem junk again. ACk!

I have to lose about 150. Dr. H said to try to reach that goal over 2 years. I did some math and I think that it averages out to about 7 lbs a month. That sounds much better to me than the way I use to think. I could probably even do it without the surgery, but I don't think I could keep if, off especially since we may have another baby after the year waiting period. I'm going to try to reach that goal, but I will be shocked as heck if I do. I'm defintely going to try though. If I reach it, I'm throwing a party and you're all invited. I'm actually going to try to lose 80 to 100 this first year. But anything over 30 will be more than I've ever done unless I have phen phen to help me. I did water aerobics again last night..loved it again! I actually had to put on a belt this morning to hold up my shorts! I haven't done that in years!

I've lost 8 lbs on my liquid diet. Slim Fast, Crystal light, jello, and a small salad. I'm still kind of hungry, but hanging in there. How are all you other June 6thers going?

Thank you Lisa, I appreciate it. It's mostly the money. I know it's a good investment and in the long run it will be so worth it. I think it's just cold feet. I'm going to water aerobics again tonight, I'm so excited!

Day 2 was a lot better then day 1 of this diet. I did not cheat AND I went water aerobics and took 2 classes. I had a LOT of fun. They let me try it free and I think I'm going to join for the 2nd summer session after I heal well. If you guys are looks for some low impact exercise that's good for all levels of fitness, this is it! I'm a little hungry today, but no headache and no light headedness.

One other question...okay two other questions, I had to get up to pee about 3 times last night, does that go away after time? I felt like I was pregnant again! Do I need to get fiber supplements too?

Well I did okay, I did cheat and eat 4 fat free saltine crackers because I had a horrible headache and dizziness that would not go away even after waiting for the slimfast and ibuprofen to work. I will NOT cheat tonight though and I mean it. I've never been a diet cheater and it killed me to have to do that. I'm starting over today. I'm going to town tonight, what should I stock up on? Didn't you guys say something about s/f popsicles? What vitamins do you all take? Also, I do need children's tylenol, right? Can you take Aleve with the band? I have terrible back pain sometimes and Tylenol doesn't work. I've got a heating pad too. Anything else I'm missing to help survive this ordeal (pre-op diet and surgery)?

Thank you all! I'm feeling much better today. I think I've just been really tired, keeping long hours at work and trying to tie up all the loose ends for school. I have to call Dr. H's nurse later today to return a call. Other then that I'm feeling good about it all today!

I was gone on yet another trip to Little Rock. Hopefully the last for a while. I need a little cheerleading and a pep-talk tonight. I think the stress of the end of the school year is getting to me and I'm gettting discouraged. I think I'm probably tired too, but I'm starting to have second thoughts. Not big enough ones to pay attention to, but they're there. Unexpected things keep cropping up and it seems like such a hassle to go through with this. I do know it'll be worth it in the end. I start the pre-op on Wednesday and I'm trying to psych myself up for that. I am getting a tiny bit nervous and having all those terrible "What if..." thoughts and wondering if this is the right decision for our family. Did any of you guys feel this way too just before? Or is it my hormones taking over my brain once again? I hate them things!

I'm here! I went on a field trip to Little Rock yesterday with our high school FBLA. I did go to the meeting and I saw you Sharon and right when I was going to go to the back to wait and talk to you, you left! One of my student's parents was there and she was telling me that she was self pay like me and had a hernia that they repaired and she ended up only paying for about $1000 of the surgery becaurse insurance paid for the hernia. I'm praying I have one too! I know that's awful, but this is really putting a crunch on finances. My brother-in-law is almost out of nurse practitioner school and he told me that I would have a hard knot and I DO! YAY! Man, that would answer a lot of problems. I am getting antsy, 8 days unitl liquid diet. I think I've drank more pop this week than I have my whole life and I don't reallu like it! HA!

Okay, here's another one of my dumb questions and I think I already know the answer...Do they provided those lovely stockings or should I go out and try to find some hippo sized ones before hand? I'm planning on wearing shorts with them so I can embarrass my hubby I'm sure I might be mistaken for a basketball star with them and some snazzy high top sneakers! HA! Vlynn, how are you doing? How's Mr. Vlynn? Welcome, Cmoomoo! I'll be banded 2 days before you! I reckon Dr. Hekier is doing mine??? That's who I saw last week to do my pre-op stuff.

Dr. Payne in Texarkana takes care of my father-in-law. He's also married to our pediatrician, they're nice folks. Will a garder belt hold those crazy things up or are tehy too strong?
