Homecoming went well, but I'm it's finished! It was really hard to not eat all the goodies we had at the dance, as well as find time to eat when I was running around all day. I wasn't an angel, but I did okay! My band is still tight, but I'm much more comfortable than I was at the begining of the 2nd fill. I can only have a few bites and those have to be taken slowly. I'm still having trouble with the slow part when I'm out or at work. I really notice that most people eat really quickly, and I think I try to keep up. I haven't been exercising like I should, so I'm going to start walking 2 miles every other day next week. It should be easier to find time now that my H/Cing is out of the way. Y'all keep up the good work...and hipmom...I can't wait to be where you're at!

TP - I've lost 60 lbs on just two fills. I guess those are good results. Also, I couldn't slow down eating at first too, but Lisa told me to just sit and look at my food for 5 minutes and it would help slow me down. It works great for me now! Arkie - Let us know how you've faired!

OMG! Went to get my fill and had lost 15 pounds. That's 3 more than I thought. I almost fell off the scale! I didn't get the fill, and we're trying it out for the next 6 weeks. Congrats Dr. H! I will be looking into the smartlipo/skin removal myself after another 50lbs. I hope your results are great!

Good luck Arkie! GOod luck Lisa too! It took me forver to get the last two lbs for that first pin. I'll let you know (if I get time this week) what happens with the fill tomorrow. It's Homecoming week so you may not see much of me until next week after I recover from Friday! Have a good week everybody!

I'm still alive. WOrking on Homecoming this week and next. Then I can relax for the rest of the year! Gus turned 3 on Wednesday...big party at Chucky Cheese on Saturday! I'm scheduled for a fill on the 8th and I'm planning on being at the meeting that evening too. I don't think I will have a fill though. I'm never hungry and can only eat a little still, but I'm no longer sick to my stomach. I've only gone about 2 weeks without being sick and I'm not ready to give up my comfort yet. If I can lose 1 lb by Monday, I will have lost 10 on this fill. If I deny a fill, and need one in say about 2 weeks, will they let me get one or do I have to wait?

We have huge festival at home in VA and my borther is the president of the committee. This is his last year heading it and I wanted to see his work. I have gone in years past because it's usually the same weekend as our Homecoming, but the dates were seperated and I wanted to go while I could. I'm taking Friday and Monday off for traveling and going with a girlfriend from Water Aerobics class and also a bander too. It should be fun Went to the rodeo on Saturday and walked off another 2 lbs...woohoo!

Congrats, Hippmom! Susan, hang in there. I wish you quick mending! Nothing exciting to tell. Just busy, busy and crazy stuff happening in Fouke. As usual. I head back home to VA next Thursday night...I'm so excited, it's been almost 1 1/2 years since I've been able to go home! It's just a quick trip, but I'm really looking forward to it. At least I'm the same size I was when I graduate high school for once. Maybe people will recognize me again! HA!

Didn't y'all say that the Biotin takes about a month to show results? It's amazing that for about 3-4 weeks after a fill I'm so tight and can hardly eat, then all of a sudden I have no problems. I'm not hungry though, just comfortable eating...FINALLY after about a month of being slimy sick at least once a day! WOOHoo! Go Lisa with that band and your bad self!

I got the biotin yesterday after I complained! I did try to call...not answer... and finally emailed them told them that next time I was getting it at WalMart and to cancel my order if it wasn't already shipped! I got it the next day....hmmm...

I will say that I'm disappointed that the company has YET to send my biotin. I ordered it WAY back!

I bought the Nectar from the website. I haven't tried the bullets. The Nectar is sorta like Kool-Aid, but with a funy smell. I would like to try the bullets though!

You can't find them at Wal-mart. I looked. You can order them online at GNC or the Vitamin Shop if you can't make it to the GNC store. I think they're called Papya Complete there.

I probably will have the skin removed. Everything I've read says that you need to wait 2 years for it to draw up as much as it's going to. At our meeting the other night, Betty talked about this new kind of lipo that makes your skin draw up and isin't so violent as the other. I may have a consulation for it since the consulation is free (in another 50 lbs.) Either way I will have to wait a bit since I was self pay and I'm in the hole for my band alone. I'm hoping that since I'm in my early 30's that will help my skin to tighten up, but when you are 150 lbs overweight I think that it can't stretch out THAT much and draw back up again. I've read that the body wraps they offer at nutrisystem will help it tighten too. I may try to do a few of those with each 50lbs I lose. We'll see. I'm already noticing saggy/floppy arms and tops of my thighs. I'm not sure what my tummy will do, it's alway tightened in the past (before I had Gus.)

I'm okay and it was nice to get that pin, but I HATE having to talk in front of adults and Ms. Betty made me. I'm really not celebrating until I get another 50 off. I guess I'm still in denial that this is working. The 50 I just lost is what I gained since I moved down here. I'm at the same weight as when I graduated college now. If I can lose another 50, THEN I will be getting rid of what I've carried since toddlerhood. When I get to goal (maybe before) I want to run in the Race for the Cure walk. Even though a doctor told me one time that my joints are horrible for running (even if I weighed 100lbs.) I want to do this to say I did and help others. Speaking of helping others, I've been reading onlind that you can donate skin that you have removed to burn victims. Did y'all know this? If I get to that point, this is something I would defintely do, although it makes me feel a little weird to think of someone else wearing my skin. Anyway, I'm okay just uber busy. I'm in charge of the school's homecoming and it's getting that time. Y'all see less and less of me until after October 12th. I'll keep reading though!

Sharon, Don't come to the meeting if you're hurt that bad! You need to take it easy and get better! I talked to Betty today and she said it was okay to only 3-4 bites at each meal as long as I'm feeling good (not hungry) and taking my supplements. I am sliming more than normal, but if it doesn't resolve itself by my next fill on October 8 then they will take some out...she said that could have been caused by a visit from TOM, that you stomach swells up then. I didn't know that. I feel like I may be at my sweet spot already!

Sharon! Let me know if there's anything I can do. I'll update you on what happens at the meeting tonight. Man, what luck! Hope you get to feeling better soon. I tried on my wedding dress because I got bored last night....it was too BIG! Woohoo!

Hang in there, TP. I know I thought the soreness would never go away for about four days post op. Then I woke up one morning and it was almost gone. USe the pain meds if you need to, don't try to be tough!

Welcome to bandland TP! You'll get a little more sore for the next few days, but the more you walk the more bareable it is. It helps to sleep propped up too. Just hang in there and by the 10 day mark, you'll be amazed at how good you feel!

Woohoo...I'll finally get that 1st pin on Monday!! Here's a question though. Have any of y'all heard either doc define the "Sweet Spot" in terms of what you can/can't eat? I'm finding after 3-4 bites of each meal, I'm full...not to mention I slime if I eat more too. I am not eating the 3oz of meat per meal at all. I am taking th eprotein religiously though. I've heard them say it's where you're losing about 2lbs a week, but nothing to the effect of what you're eating.

Should I be worried if I can only eat about 3 bites a meal before I get sick? Is that my "sweet spot?" The place where we are supposed to be? If I only eat 3-4 bites, no sliming or anything. After #4 BLEK! I'm taking a protein supplement and vitamin and B12 that my doc recommened and I feel pretty good.

Please excuse all those typos. On a lighter note...almost every person I work with who has seen my in my size 6's today has given me a compliement about how good I look. This has been the most rewarding day yet since surgery! People can tell!

I have no regrets except like Lisa, I wish I had done this at 18. I wouldn't have been brave enough then, but boy would life have been different! Life is already much more enjoyable than it was back in May. I feel SO good and I can finally keep up with my soon to be 3 year old. I'm happier too because I finally have some resolve that I've done my absolute best to deal with this weight problem I've hadn my entire life. I know too, that if I want to have another baby, there will be less risks since I'm off b/p meds now and I'm getting lighter. I was self pay, but it's been worth it even if I don't lose a pound more. I will say that this is not something that ANYONE should take lightly. You HAVE to have your head on straight to deal with it at times. I have had a rough couple of weeks after this last fill, and it's been hard to not be upset at times when I can only maybe three bites of food a day because for restriction. Especially since I'm a stress eater. My mother is trying to push my borther into having lapband, but I told him not to do it uless he realizes that almost ever aspect of his life and outlook is about to change permanetly. Sorry to write a book. But this has been an issue at our house lately!

I stress ate. I can't now...I can't even imagine the pain and suffereing if I did. I already have a hard enough time with normal eating. I tried to stress eat a couple of weeks ago by eating Teddy grahams...thinking I'd eat a while personal size bag of them...didn't work! I clean my house, walk, do laundry now when I feel that urge coming on.

okay...I didn't mean to get your hopes all up, but Lane Bryant has a new sizing system for their jeans. The have 3 different body types/color and they measure your thighs and waist and prescribe the right fitting jeans. They've changed the sizes from 1-9 I think. I'm a 6 red...I almost howled with laughter when the lady handed them to me in the dressing room. This is such a sneaky way to sell more jeans to us big ladies and make us feel better! You can look at their website to find out more. There no way in H!*% that I'd ever be a real 6. Even at goal weight!!!! They really do fit well, by the way!
