  1. I just had my surgery on April 2nd and I got my period 2 days after surgery which was 4 days early. It is SOOOO fricking heavy and disgusting. I thought it was because of the heparin shots though so we will see. I had to stop taking them because they made my tongue swell up. Im hoping it tapers off because this is a little annoying.
  2. I had to do them too but my tongue swelled up and I started my period and was soaking pads every 20 minutes. Im just 5 days post op and had to stop them. I've been walking around to avoid the blood clots. It didnt bother me to give myself the shots, it just bothered me that my tongue swelled up and I kept biting it. lol
  3. So I am 4 days post op and I am feeling really guilty. I keep reading all these posts from people who are losing mass amounts of weight and I feel like I should be out there running marathons and exercising to the point of exhaustion. I walked around the block once tonight with my husband and we did it fairly quickly and thought that was an accomplishment but now im not feeling that way at all. I have been adhering to my liquid diet and I guess im just worried that I will not lose weight like everyone else is doing. Am I the only one who feels this way or am I alone in this boat? I want to be successful at this since I went through the surgery and made a conscious effort to change my life. I just dont think I can dedicate as much time as some people do to working out. I have 6 children that keep me busy as it is. Sigh. I feel like im just being lazy and it's making me feel very bad about myself.
  4. I completely understand how you feel. I had to give a lot of my cute shoes and boots away over the past 3 years because my fat legs and feet wouldnt fit into them. I am 4 days post op and I gotta tell you, I can see the bones in my feet again. My legs are a different story but it sure is a start. Hang in there, you will be rocking those boots in no time. Good luck on your upcoming surgery,
  5. I'm 4'9 and was sleeved this past Monday, April 2nd. I had some major regrets the first day and a half because I was so dang sick and hurt so bad. But 4 days out and I feel great. I started out at 250lbs and I am down to 238lbs and I am eager to see much more weight loss. I am, however, feeling guilty because I see how all these people are working out for hours and day and I just cant dedicate that much time to a workout with 6 children. Hang in there. I think it will get easier once we start really seeing results. Congrats on your new life.
  6. Weight before sleeve: 250LBS Weight after sleeve: 238lbs I was just sleeved on Monday Weight gain: God I hope not. lol
  7. Thank you. Tonight I went for a power walk around the block with my husband. It wasnt a whole lot but it was something and it made me feel good. You have lost a massive amount of weight. That is so awesome. I can't wait to start seeing results.
  8. It's sad that I'm 4 days out and want to eat real food. I have not and will not but when I see my family eating, I just want to enjoy it too. I've been trying to stay away from them right now.
  9. That's really awesome. I want to be successful at this. I'm only 4 days out but did manage to go for a walk around the block tonight.
  10. I had my surgery on 4/2 and dont feel any pain as well. I just feel very tired. I manage to get an 8 ounce protein shake down and a can of creamed soup that I blend with a can of skim milk and a 16.9 ounce propel zero. I feel so full but I find myself drinking it all just to get in my liquid requirements. I wonder if it's too much if I am feeling full but no one will answer my question that I posted here. I hope you all succeed with your surgeries.
  11. How long after surgery did you all start to really work out?
  12. I had my surgery on Monday and a friend of mine had hers on Monday as well. We were both in the same hospital room together and we threw up the first 2 days A LOT and especially after being given the liquid pain meds. It passes. What she and I ended up having to do is switching from the hydrocodone to Tylenol 3. By the time I left the hospital on Wednesday, I only threw up 2 more times and that was it. I didnt even need to use the pain meds once I was home to be honest. I hope you start feeling better soon. Hang in there. The nausea passes.
  13. Hi everyone, I was sleeved on Monday and was wondering. My surgeon told me that I can eat anything that I could put through a straw (without really using the straw to prevent air). So I have been drinking an 8 ounce protein shake with skim milk and I also blend a can of cream soup in the blender with a can of skim milk and drinking that all day as well. I have also managed to get in a 16.9 bottle of propel zero. I feel a little full but keep drinking to try and meet the requirements for my liquid intake. Am I doing wrong by continuing to drink even though I know I feel full? Im considering the cream soup part of my liquid intake as well. I just dont want to gain weight. This has me nuts. I've been walking around the house here and there but really haven't started taking really good power walks. Should I be doing that 4 days out already? Sorry, kind of a two part question.
