    How Many Times A Day

I eat 3 meals and 2 or 3 snacks. 1 of my meals is my protein shake for breakfast, otherwise i don't get enough protein, that and i have never been a breakfast eater.
  2. I had that problem in the beginning, just about all dairy had me running to the bathroom about 30min to an hour later. Now i can have about 1/4 cup of milk with no problem and any other dairy product is fine.

    Eating Out

I did recieve a card, had to ack for it. I rarely use it, as others said buffett is still kind of a waste, but i have been 1 or 2 times cause my family still enjoy going sometimes. Never had to show it to order a kids meal.
  4. Body weight will fluxauate throughout the day, also the 1st week or 2 is usually water weight that you are losing. And usually right around 3 weeks you hit a stall. I have found it easier for me to set a day and only get on the scale once a week, since i had surgery on Wednesday 1 weigh myself every wednesday, sometimes i will cheat and do an extra day or 2, but i only write it down and keep track on wednesday, as a whole i have never gained any weight from week to week, but occasionaly fluxuate up and down through out the week.
  5. Somebody asked the doctor this at our support group last night and the doctor said it was fine, just not to make a habit of it. No worse than doing it pre surgery.

    Who Have You Told?!

I have been open and will tell anyone. I told alot of people before surgery and now that i am 4.5 months out, and down 83lbs, people that i didn't tell are commenting on how good i am looking and if they ask me how i am losing it i will let them know that i had surgery.
  9. I'm tall for a female 6ft. My starting weight was just over 400 so i set my first real goal at getting to 199, Doctor told me that was a good place to start.Getting to 174 will put me in the normal range, so once i get below 200 i will decided how much loser i want to go. Right now I would be happy to get to a size 16.I am 33.
  10. i'm 4.5 months and still have trouble getting both water and protein in, i kinda alternate. One day i make sure to get in all/ or almost all of my water and then the next day i make sure i get all of my protein in. Some times i get close to both but so far haven't managed to get all of both on the same day.
  11. I had surgery March 21, so about 4 1/2 months ago. About how many calories should I be getting. The sheet from my doctors office say 800calories, but doesn't say how soon after surgery i should be at that or how long to stay there. Some days I am only getting 500 or 600 and days like today i got in 1200. The fact that i got in that much scares me. But i don't really know if that amount is normal.
  12. My doctor did tell me at least 75 protein and I'm finally getting close to that. I do try to track on myfitnesspal, i get it done at least 5 days a week. And i am getting about 45 to 50oz water a day. Today was justthe most calories i have had since surgery and it kinda freaked me out a little.
  13. so for about 20 weeks out i am doing ok. I guess i just needed confirmation that i am not screwing this up.
  14. I was told you couldn't damage your sleeve from plain water. It moves out too quickly. I get discomfort if i drink too much in too short a time frame but it usually resolves its self in 10 or 15min.

    ?protein Allergy

It's probable not an allergy to the protein but could be allery to something in the protein drink. But imo it's probably your pain meds.

    Sweet Tea 6 Weeks Out?

I did sweet tea about 3 or 4 weeks out but with splenda. just be careful not to drink to many drinks with artifical sweetner, they can cause gas.
  17. i was never given a number that was too much, was told i need between 60-75 per day post op. and pre op just said to make sure i got at least that much

    Bmi 50+

My Bmi was 55.3 when i started. I was sleeved March 21, so about 4.5 months out and am down to 325lbs with a bmi of 44 (im 6ft tall). My doctor agreed with my first goal of getting down to 199 that would give me a bmi of 27 which is still considered overweight, but once i get there i can decide how much further i want to go. But as of right now i would be happy as overweight as opposed to morbidly obese.
  19. I think after 4-6 weeks. Thats about how long it took me to start getting my energy back.

    Anyone Regret It?

I love my sleeve, no regrets. I had a great doctor, monthly support groups and lots of family and friends that fully supported my decision.
  21. sound perfect to me. I am allowed up to 5g of sugar in my protein drinks and carbs and callories sound about right unless you go with a lite version.

    Cooking Smaller Amounts..?

i weigh out my meats when i get home from the grocery store and then label and freeze, that way i can pull out enough for a meal or if i know extras are coming i can pull out extras. I am trying to cut down on leftovers and make just enough food for meals. My husband is former Navy and has gained a lot of weight since we married and now are daughter is getting heavier also. I always make plenty of vegtables and 1 serving per person of meat and carb. No complaints yet of anyone being hungery.

    Measuring Portions

I don't measure everyday. But i do it every few days so that i can make sure my portions aren't getting bigger.

  25. Mine ended the day before surgery and started 2 or 3 days after. Dr said it was from the blood thinners.
