  1. Well, today was my first post-op appointment. I am 13 days today. Everything is good, except for I have only lost 5lbs since surgery :0(

I am trying so hard to keep the faith. Is there anything I can do ? I just got the ok to add food to my diet...soft foods and the like as tolerated. I had some cream of wheat today, let me tell you it was the BEST cream of wheat I have EVER had !!!

Any tips to speed up or enhance the weight loss ?

  2. I stalled right out the gate too..... My surgery was March 28th so I'm 12 days post op too! I'm down 10 pounds but have been sitting here within a pound since the first week. From what I've read, we are right on track and I just keep reminding

myself how happy I am that I will never be this weight again because it's not coming back this time like it did before! Woohoo! Also, the slower we lose, the better in so many ways bc of loose skin and gallstone issues. The weight will come off because we just aren't consuming that many calories and everything we do eat is healthy now!

I'm in Fort Worth,so we are pretty close ! Yes I am def learning about being healthy everyday. I cheated and had a lick of mashed potatoes yesterday , LOL I can't wait till Thursday..eggs will have never tasted so good !

  3. I am working on just moving in general. I bursts of energy but then I get a bit lightheaded and slightly winded and need to sit a while then I get back up and do stuff and get in 30 min walk a day....It's hit or miss I think. I am 8 days post op

  4. Thanks about the wine, I will ask. I "took" 18 days off. I have a desk job where I am up and down and I do walk around sometimes.

Also, I do find 8 days post op once I do things like my walk and or a little housework, I get a little winded and dizzy. Is that normal ?

I may wait the full two weeks. I am feeling pretty well, but I am afraid of getting dizzy at work from doing too much.

  5. I had my sleeve March 28th. I was on Clear Liquids for three days now full liquids till next Wednesday. I am tolerating everything well and I honestly and afraid to veer off the diet my doc thinks is best for fear I will mess something up. That is just me, being paranoid. I walk about half a mile a day so far and I am slowly increasing it,just listening to my body. I still get tired and dizzy if I do too much. I am getting in two Protein shakes a day lots of creamed Soups, fruit bars(I spit out the large chunks of fruit for now),broth sometimes, crystal light and Water. I am doing great !

So I just wondered, did your doc give you a "set" diet with do's and don'ts ? I say if you tolerate everything fine then go for it !!! What Jimmygotsoul said what's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander :)
