Ugggg so glad i didn't have a drain. Sounds dreadful

I am 3 weeks post op today. The ins part was easy and quick.

I have Aetna too.

Im 3 wks tomorrow but im still on liquids and soups even tho i can do purees and softs cuz its the only thing Lulabelle can handle. If I eat anything else it sits still and i get the terminable belching. Is this pretty normal? Ive tried softs but liquids are better.

The diet is a requirement for ins. They want to make sure you can adhere to it after surgery.My surgical grp and my ins only required a 3 mos dr supervised diet and it was only meeting with the Nut once a mos and going over what I was eating. I even gained a few lbs inbetween and no one said a word. My doc is lax on people who have a lower bmi. I didnt have to do a preop diet either, all depends on your doc and ins requirements.

You had a pain in the ass for 3 weeks. Yikes. My hubby had his colon put back up into his bum bum talk about pain. This surgery is a walk in the park to that I'm sure.

That's very scary something doesnt add up.

I would invite anyone to come be in. My shoes or even see what I go thri and then try to tell me its an easy way out. Liposuction an easy way wls never!

After reading that a lot of people liked the premier shakes I went to Sams and got a case. I gotta tell ya its tasting a little vitaminie. I have a fridge and freezer full of what my husband calls my failed food projects. Lol. Any other shake brands that are good?

I have moments of what did I do and moments of excitment like yesterday. My reward for the first 20 lbs was a haircut and I uzed to hate watching cuz all I saw was my double chin but yesterday it was very noticeably smaller. I also bought the cutest top from Sams , yes Sams and it was 2 sizes smaller. I tried it on at home and its gorgeous. I have my Pitt y parties but they dont last too long. I just want time to go by faster! You will get there honey

Karen, the stress test is no biggie. I had to have one last April. I thought I would die on tbe treadmill but you wont and you dont run you walk. The just hook you up to some monitors to make sure your heart handles it. They increase the speed and make it go up hill a little but its totally doable. I was moderatly out of breath. Not bad at all. They also take a lot of xrays of your heart thru a machine. I put mine off for two yrs cuz i was scared. I had to get mine cuz i had heart palpitations and had to wear a holter monitor before but its not a bad test at all its just time consu ming it takes a few hours. I took the whole day off but i couldve gone back to work cuz my sweat was very light. Everything will be okay and prob like my results your ticker will be in tip top shape.

Does the belching ever go away? I asked my doc about it and he said maybe im not sipping but trust me Iam. I am doing ice chips all day cuz i am terribly thirsty all the time. I am 2.5 wks post. Please tell me eventually it will go away.

I didnt have to do a preop diet either a.d i too had a farewell to food tour. I didnt get to half the places I wa.ted.

I had mine Jan 30 and I can tell you, i was terrified. I had the same fears. At first my mom was reluctant but I didnt care Im 48 lol. She came with me to hosp along with my dad and my Doc explained it all. She was way better. Im glad I did it 99 %of the time cuz ive lost a decent amt right now but i struggle cuz i wanna eat. Make sure your head is right too. Good luck you will be fine

9 days sound about right. I was 12 days and could've gone back sooner but i had the time avail so i took it.

Um not trying to be critical against anyone. I know everyone is different. I was at a lower BMI and my doctor told me how much i will lose the first 3 mons. I'm expecting it to happen. I only want to lose 80 pou.ds. .i wasnt critizising her all i was saying is that i was surprised and if that was me i would be mad cuz i was told to expe ct different results. . I was a lower bmi too. I didnt mean any critisisim of the original poster.

I was.notjudging you. I was just shocked at 3 moss out that is all you lost. Everyone is different. Im just saying that for myself if that was all i would have lost three mos Pitt i would question my doctor. If you ate happy with it that's all th at matter s. I too only have 60 more to go and i will be happy. Good luck to you.

Only 25 pounds? Wow what does your Dr say? I had surgery on Jan 30 and have lost 27 pounds in 2 weeks. To only lose 25 pounds in 4 mos for me would not even have been worth the surgery. Tell us more.

Was 247 now 220 surgery 2 wks ago.

Kelkath, then dont gain, this is a huge motivator. If a dr told me that i would sure as hell start today. I didnt have yo do a preop diet and if you dont either just pretend he did. You can do this.

These things are bothering me. 1. Headaches are bad and twice threwup tylenol 2. Ive been on Nexium for 11 yrs amd never got it while on it. I dont wanna have it while on it. 3. Never felt pronounced hunger pains pre surgery. I heard many times that you will not feel hungry after surgery. Not true I feel hungry a lot. What's up?
