    Major Stall :(

5 months out and I have been in a stall for about a month. This is crazy. I'm not really panicking over it because I knew this was going to happen, it was just a matter of when. So now I have to change something in order to get past this stall. I've been thru different things this last couple of months that I haven't been able to exercise so I will start to incorporate that back in, although I have to be careful. I will start slow with maybe 3 days a week and then increase when I'm sure I'm ok. I also need to tweak my diet as it has not been great although I'm still eating only about 3 oz's at a time, I need to change what I'm eating. Get back to basics: protein, water and then everything else. I really have a problem getting those in, especially the water, that has always been my problem. I know this stall will end, I just have to kick in to gear to make it move. I'm ready to be under 200 #'s. I'm so close, so now it's time to get there.

    Instead of pizza

We were making pizza with the tortilla shells. I would always use the low carb shells and top with pizza sauce, cheese and ground sausage or pepperoni and mushrooms. Of course you can top it with what you want to make it even less calories.
  8. When I had my surgery, they had a problem with intubation and so now I have a card that say there was a problem and that if I need surgery again they will have to keep me "awake", that in between phase. I was worried, but I did have to have another surgery a month later and don't remember anything about intubation, don't even know if they kept me woke. So you will be just fine.
  9. The same outfit, just look different. Thankful for my sleeve. What a difference!

    The Basics Boot Camp

I started bootcamp Tues. and have been doing pretty good. I was stuck with a couple pounds back and forth. It's only been 4 days and I've already lost 3 #'s. That's good enough for me, since I got past that stall point. Will continue for another few days. I will do this once a month to keep myself on track.

    What Breaks Your Stall

I've stalled as well. I'm 4 1/2 months out and been stuck between 211 - 213. So now I'm trying "Bootcamp" and see how that works for me.
  14. I do understand and I really hope he starts listening to you. We know how it feels to have to make such a serious decision as wls. Like you I worry about my kids getting to where I was and having to make the choice I made. Keep talking to your husband and explaining to him just how you feel because your babies are still young and you all can still change the way they see food. Hang in there and stick to your program and show hubby how important it is.
  15. Ladyk I'm sorry that you are going through this, but the changes you made are what you decided to make. You can't force other people to make those same changes or any for that matter. Just like you had to decide for yourself, your husband will have to make that choice for himself. If you push him, he may resent it. But you just have to keep doing what you know is best for you and set the example for your family, and hopefully your husband will see how serious this is to you and decide to make changes for his-self. I know it's hard, I have some of the same problems with older kids who buy for themselves, but I know the reason why I had this surgery and I try to stick to my plan as much as possible. It's not easy but hang in there.

    Chia Seeds!

Sounds great, saw an episode of Dr. Oz talk about chia seeds and I've only tried it once, but I have some so I'm going to try it in my protein drink. Thanks OP.
  17. Great Job. I love to hear these experiences because I know I can't survive on 500 cals a day. I'm 4 mnths out and I'm above that and I'm happy with my weightloss so far. I'm like you, taking my time and doing it right for me. Thanks for the post.

    Had My Egd...kinda Bummed.

Hang in there babysteppin. You are not alone. I think everybody go through that before they have the surgery because this a serious surgery and it's tough to know what you will have to go through when it's all done. I went through the thoughts of should I or shouldn't I, all the way to the OR. But I'm glad I did. Nervousness is normal, so take care of your health now and see where it takes you.

    Whats Wrong With Me?/

I'm still working on that. I try to drink at least 1 protein shake a day. I also try to drink as much water as I can get in. I think the water drinking has really helped with the head hunger. When I drink a lot of water I'm not as hungry or should I say I don't think about food as much.

    Zumba Day 1!

I love zumba, but it does take a lot out of you, so you have to put it back. Sounds like you getting the protein that you need. Keep up the good work.

When I was just 3 months out I had to buy new shoes. I was in a size 8 1/2 or 9 depending on the shoe and now I'm in a 7 1/2 and I still have a ways to go.
