Research says about 80%of type 2 diabetics will leave the hospital not needing any more medication. I am struggling with high blood sugars post op but my surgeon doesn't seem concerned. He said for some it will take a few weeks and some a few months. I am three weeks out tomorrow and still taking metformin but less than I was pre op.

Hello All!
I was sleeved on 4/16 and today was the best I've felt so far. I think I'm finally getting the balance of hydration & Protein plus some mushies. I'm down 25lbs but haven't had the energy for exercise so far. I am using myfitnesspal for tracking andi would love to be friends with any of you April Sleevers! My user name there is JodiKayeKat.

I made my mom come with me to hold my hand and it wasn't a big deal at all. The skin around it was really burny-itchy so it was just that I felt.

I didn't realize sleepers had dumping syndrome! Has anyone experienced that?

Hi guys. I was sleeved on the 16 and I'm able to start purreed foods tomorrow. I didn't have much pain just some gas' date=' but walking made that easier . My only problem is I can't tell when I'm hungry anymore[/quote']I have the same thing! The sleeve feels confusing. Sometimes there is a light rolling pain that seems like it might be hunger but I can't tell if it is for sure or if it is just digestion. It is like making friends with a whole new body! I am finding it a lot harder to get in Protein now that I am on mushies - it was a lot easier when I could just drink all day and have high Protein Shakes.< /p>

I was sleeved on 4/16/12 and I'd love to hear how you all are feeling?! I'm feeling more like me for the first time today. Not so weak and disinterested in everything. I have only been taking short 5 minute walks but reading some other posts makes me feel like I may be taking it too easy. How about some of the other 16ers?

I noticed I felt more like myself at 5 weeks and at 8 weeks I'm feeling really good! Congrats on your weight loss!
