some people experience a stricture early on...I've had 2 and I'm 2 months out. you should call your surgeon
-
i just had my second stricture fixed today. I'm 2 months out from surgery. my symptoms were nausea and vomiting....definitely worth getting checked out! you feel so much better after!

i buy these morsels of chocolate from the Vitamin Shoppe that have 500mg of calcium citrate per piece. 60% cacao. its like a treat 3 times a day!

i too have noticed acne in my face.. makes me feel like a teenager again. it'll be nice when that goes away. i haven't noticed any body odor..yet but I'm sure my hubby will tell me if i do. lol. the other change i noticed is the change of the coarseness of the hair on my bikini area when shaving.. weird

interesting.. i would not have thought those would interfere with that..

had my EGD today...had a stricture doctor said my opening was only 3mm! they were able to stretch it out to 10mm but said i may have to have it done again next week because i was so tight. hopefully not but i feel a helluva lot better. no more nausea! Yay

I have not had nausea like this since surgery..i mean, i dumped once and food has gotten stuck twice, but this is different. I feel like the thought of having to take my vitamins/pills or eat Protein will make me sick...sux cause i'm feeling hungry...my test is tomorrow, so hopefully i'll find out something..

my surgery was December 7th. a stricture is a narrowing of your esophagus that is corrected by having a scope and them using a balloon type thing to stretch it out. from what I've read, it's kinda common..

been nauseated for a week and a half now, surgeon is sending me for an EGD on Thursday to check for a stricture. i miss eating real food! anyone else have this problem?
-
i am also cold most of the time since surgery/weight loss .. i have to wear long sleeves and long pants and socks to bed!

So, I'm about 7 weeks post op and my CPAP keeps waking me up at night.. guess I may need the pressure reduced but I am not supposed to go back for a sleep study until I lose 50# or 6 months out..whichever comes first. What has been your experience with this? Is anyone totally off their CPAP?

I guess it's good to hear that going back to basics helps sometimes! You look great...

Are you having pain? Is that how they found it?

@laurelle1980, i'm 5 weeks out and i'm a week late for mine also...
-
I had my period a few days after surgery, but this month, it's a week late..go figure..

Yes, I have also noticed a change. I have alot more energy and feel more awake..also, since i have lost weight, my cpap pressure is waking me up at night. I'll go back for a repeat study in 6 months or 50# whichever comes first.
