I'm going to be honest...I remember waking up and I felt phlem stuck in my chest...I was trying to cough it out and it was so painful...but after that the real pain that you will feel is from gas...I feel it build up from my stomach to my chest...it hurts I'm not going to lie lol...but I'm 5 days post op and I feel so much better...I still have the gas but its tolerable...one thing that you can get that helped me with the gas ate gas x strips...I was scared to use it at the hospital but the first night I spent home...I couldn't take the has pain anymore...I took two gas x strips and I felt peace lol....its gonna be hard to get your liquids down in the beginning and your Protein but every day gets better...today I had a total of 600 cal and got in 52 grams of protein- Nerves Kicking In

You two will be fine...I'm 24, 5 feet tall and my starting weight was 250...I started my preop liquid diet on 4/7...my surgery was on 2/11 I'm down 14 lbs...be strong..God will be beside you every step of the way!!!!- Pain
I was given a morphine drip after surgery...I would press a button every 10 minutes and it would give me a dose...then they took me off that and gave me 2 percocet tabs every 4 hours...now being home they have me a prescription of oxycodene (1 tab every four hours) for pain...but it all depends on your doctor...if you explain to them your passed experience with morphine maybe they can give you something different for the pain.- Gas....
I'm 4 days post op...walking helps so much...what also has been helping me are gas x strips...they are not helpful for everyone but it has helped me...the gas pain has been gettin better though...so happy about that lol- Soooo Scared
- Pain
Do you mean pain level after surgery?...well I had surgery this passed wed...I'm not gonna lie my pain level was at about an 8 for about a day and a half...then it went down to about a 6 or 7...now its about about a 3 or 4...this pain is caused by gas that builds up...walking and gas x strips have helped...sometimes while I'm drinking liquids I'm walking back and forth trying to control the gas pain...but I don't regret the surgery...I started my pre op diet 4/7 and had surgery the 11th...I'm down 12 lbs...if you have any other questions please feel free to ask :0)- Protien Jello?
I purchased them at GNC- Getting My Sleeve In The Morning.

I had surgery this past Wed...when I woke up I felt like I had a lot of phlem stoke in my chest...it was hard to cough it out because I was still in pain from surgery...I had a morphine drip...I was able to give myself pain medication every 10 minutes...I experienced a little nausea the following day thats about it...I was discharged yesterday afternoon...I've been experiencing a lot of gas pain it starts from my stomach and builds up to my chest..its the worst but gas x strips have helped me sooooo much....Im able to do pureed food but I'm trying to stay with liquids right now...just sipping through out the day...just taking one day at a time.- ~April Sleevers~
