Holy Jesus! 3 years is nuts!!! My final 6 mo weigh in is Sept 14th!!!! Can't wait! I started all this in March and time has really gone by quickly! I am greatful for the 6mo weigh ins because I feel like it has given me the time I needed to really educate myself on the whole rny process! Hang in there!

What is the difference between a counselor and a psychologist if they both have their PhD? Both will do my psych evaluation but my surgeon says it has to be a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist? I'm so confused!

I haven't told my oldest daughter (8) yet. I will tell her shortly before surgery though. I also think its a good idea to let kids know all of the pre op testing that you have done to make sure you are healthy enough for surgery in the first place! All of that is reassuring to me and I am sure it would be reassuring to her as well!

psych went well. .....have to go back next week for my computer testing and then a third visit to get his approval letter.....holy copays!

No it doesn't go towards my insurance. ....its a one time fee that the Dr charges to process all your insurance stuff. I saw Dr. Friedman in may and only had to pay my copay......my next apt is in August and I will pay my copay and the $250 fee.

I have to pay $250 at my next apt.....that is their "program fee".
