Assi love that. I was only telling a couple close people, but now some people know and when approached I tell the truth. I tell them I am taking control of my life, what r u doing? ;p

Oh and the hair thing...get enough protein u will b fine. That is what my dietitian told me.

I am 280 in a 5'5 body. You could ask any of my friends, family and myself, I am a very confident person. I truly love myself. I don't have self image problems more then skinny Jean next door. I also am very healthy. The only thing that my weight causes is heartburn now and again. I personally am getting it because how many heavy older people do u see in nursing homes. How many 80 and older heavy people do u see? Not a lot. If we continue on a road like we r it will have major consequences. I personally don't want to miss the sleeve bus and regret it. If u feel good about urself now imagine how u will feel when u and ur husband can do more 'naughty' things because you don't weight as much I have talked to a lot of people and some that have weighed over 300 hardly had any loose skin and looks amazing. U need to make the best decision for u. It took me 2 years to come to mine. Good luck...if u do decide to do surgery ill save ya a seat on the looser bench and I want to hear how u r doing

Lucky loser, well have to keep in touch on the day if u feel up to it I'm his first surgery...guess he'll b all rested. I am happy to hear you r doing so well Sheldon ...gives me hope;)

I am officially getting sleeved the 30 of April....I start my pre op diet the 15...after talking to the dietitian I am not so scared for my 2 week diet..... I can't believe it is right around the corner

I have my pre op appointment in a couple days. They are shooting for April 30 or May 1 for surgery. I am very aware that this is going to be a lot of work. I am hearing all these stories of weight gain after bypass surgery that I am so afraid I will be one of the statistics that do gain it back. As many of you all know the feeling of diets not working, I can't help but keep asking myself what will make this any different? I know me getting the sleeve is different then bypass, but I am still very scared. Any advice would be so appreciated.

Thank you so much for the wise words. I have a wonderful counsler who will help me a lot after too I have my post op app tomarrow. I think getting that out of the way will help the nerves some. So is ur op the 16 of may then?

That is so wonderful to hear! Thank you for the encouraging words. You are absolutely right. Also I would have to ask myself is it fair to myself not to give it a try? It is not that I have no faith in myself, it is just that I know how diets go. They don't work and if this like another diet, I don't want to go down this road once again and set myself up to fail. I can not believe how many emotions I have been feeling with this surgery coming up. I had no idea it would be like this. Excellent on the weight loss! Please keep us updated and I will do the same....
