  1. Wow..missed u guys! So I need some advice and reassurance. I am 5 months out and very happy with my weight loss so far. I have 40 more lbs to lose till goal. So it was coming off so fast then all the sudden I hit onederland and it slowed down sooooooo fast. I am losing maybe 1 to 2 lbs at the most a week. No matter how hard i work or eat. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I m not freaking out just curious as to know other peoples journey....

  2. I confess I hate food now.

I confess I don't always get my protien in.

I confess losing weight doesn't make everything easier.

    I confess I don't always take my meds..vitamins.

I confess I am jealous other people can binge and I can't.

I confess all kinds of issues come up the more I lose.

I confess the lose skin is bothering me.

  3. Has anyone felt like they hate eating after surgery? I am 13 weeks tomarrow and I feel so weak and worn out. I am losing weight very rapidly and feel so weak. Anyone else feel or felt this way. I am going in Thursday to get my tests done so hopefully if something is off he can give me something to help. I will take any advice at all :)

  4. I have been feeling sooooo weak today. I am so light headed and can barely sit up. I finally had to get some Protein. I tried the 'Protein To Go' shots. They have 28g of Protein and 120 calories. It's only a small amount to drink so it is easier to choke down than a Protein shake. I've only tried chocolate. http://proteintogo.com/

Oh I go through the same thing with protien. I remember one day being so lightheaded and miserable. I get grossed out at everything too. I am 3 months out yesterday.

Remember to always listen to YOUR doctor but my nutritionist told me those protien to go aren't the kind of protien they want us to use. She said it is LOW GRADE protien. She said it is grinded up bones. :( just fyi to ask your doc :).

  5. so when can I drink soda products after the sleeve and if so what kind

To be fair every doctor is different. I would ask your nutritionist. My dr says that it is a myth that it stretches out your stomach. He said the theory makes no so sence. That if you get built up air you will burp it out...naturally. Although he did say if you drink pop you have a good chance of getting addicted again and for some it causes horrible gas pain. So he advices his patients to stay away because as he says if you were addicted to it before the sleeve chances r you will get addicted after..why take the chance.

If you look through the threads you will see some people on here drink pop everyday and do just fine and have for year or more. I ess craving a sprite so bad that I got a sprite zero and swooshed it around my mouth for awhile then spit it out...I was afraid I would swollow it and have horrible gas. That made me stop craving it. Also my nutrtionist said if you crave it so bad you can't take it then keep a can of diet whatever and keep it in the fridge. Just sip every couple hours. Lots of her clients do that. But like I said your doc knows what is best for you so if yours says no I would go by him.

PS...6 weeks we were told we could drink pop.

  6. I had my surgery on may 3rd and went to my second doc visit the 19th of June and he gave me the ok to do whatever I want. Those were his exact words. So no I didn't start light. I mean I struggle with some of the moves but at least I'm doing something and over time I'll get better at it. Just finished my first week and I feel so accomplished! And I can honestly tell a difference in myr legs. :-) I would def check with your doc and see what he says bc it is a very hard workout. When did u have your surgery?

I got surgery April 30 and got the clear also.. I'm needing a bit more intense ....gravity is taking over and I don't think just biking and walking with weights is going to keep my access skin at bay...

Did you follow it exactly or just kind of do what u could?

  7. I just thought I would throw in my opinion being I have 3 kids the same age as yours, but my youngest is 7 not 5. I got my surgery April 30th. I was feeling great but very tiered. I had days where I was a little tired then days where I was exhausted. My husband took 2 weeks of work off and thank goodness because I needed it :) My mommy advice to you is prepare for the worst because more then likely it won't be that bad. Just remember to not put expectations on yourself. Let me give u an example.... I am a neat freak. I am 8 weeks out today. I am just now feeling strong and energized enough to clean my house as good as before my surgery. Before all my energy went to kids and their activities. Now I can keep up with all of it again:) Good luck and we are here for you if you need anything.
