    Day 4 Liquid Diet

I feel the same way. I only want to tell people I want to tell. People I can trust not to say anything and judge. People have a way of judging. It is your surgery and your decision as to who to tell and why. To me it is a private thing.
  2. Hi Sylvia by now you have had your surgery. I am wondering how you are doing. Let me know ok? Diane
  3. Hi Sylvia I am Diane. I was banded on February 10th. I was 211 after I came home from hospital. I now weigh 176. My highest weight was last year 216. I was really nervous about getting the band. I am glad I did it.So since hospital I have lost 35 pounds. It lost the first 31 real quickly. I didn't really want to lose real quickly because I feel it is better to lose slowly. It did slow down. I have been stuck for about 6 weeks. I have been yoyoing between 180 and 181. I upped my exercise and it did the trick. I went down 3 pounds. I was afraid to go to doctors this week but now I feel a little bit better about going.I still need to lose about another 65 pounds. This site is helpful. You learn alot. I felt better knowing that alot of people go through what I am going through. You also meet alot of people and learn alot of helpful hints. I wish you alot of luck.Don't worry about the surgery it isn't bad at all. Follow all the things they tell you to do. Turn to someone for help if you feel like you need it. I would love to be there for you so don't hesitate to contact me. Diane
  4. You have been through the worst part, the surgery.I went back to work 3 weeks after surgery only because I do heavy lifting at my job. I had my surgery February 10, 2012. I have lost 27 pounds.Happy with the loss but for the last 2 weeks I have been at a standstill. I am thinking this is to be expected. I have had my second fill this week, Don't worry about the fills they are nothing.I use the unjury. I also have tried kellogs protein shakes, The french vanilla is good. What I didn't expect to find hard is after the fill going back to stage 2 for 2 days and then 3 etc. After you go onto food it is hard to go back to only liquids.Like I said I didn't expect it. Another thing I found hard was I had 2 birthday parties to go to, one for my great nephew and then my grandson. Each party consisted of cake ice cream and pizza. It was rough but I got through it. I brought my own stuff. Tuna, veggie and yogurt and s,f. pudding. Then the going away for my nieces husband in the service, was being sent out. Now you want to talk about food everywhere from chip snacks and dips to hot dog and hamburgs or sausage a table of liquor of your choice, desserts gallore. Now THIS was tough. Everywhere I looked was food,Here again I brought my own stuff and I did get through it. This was the only time I usually would have let loose and had things I normally wouldn't at home. But the main thing Is I got through it.Just telling you about this because this is a fact of life that we have to face.Wanted to prepare you for it. I also like the s,f, ice pops. I really like (when you get further into it) the melba toast with cottage cheese on it.Not everyone likes cottage cheese. Be careful though to chew the melba toast good. good luck to you.
