  3. I am a year out on my sleeve. This whole time I have been having problems with hair loss like most weight loss surgery patients, but my mom had seen a commercial for this shampoo from garnier and told me about it. It is call fall fight. I have been using it for about a month now and i can tell a big difference. It has biotin in it and you massage it into your scalp, my comb does not have as much hair in it as before. I have been wanting to share this so others can check it out. Hope this is helpful to everyone.
  4. I also started to take Biotin and i am noticing a great difference in my nails and hair.
  5. I agree with livinglifeout. I still get hungry and I still graze after 8 months but I try to pick somewhat healthy grazing material. It doesn't always happen though.
  6. Has it helped with the hair loss? My nails are flaky and break easily too, does that help with that?
  7. I bought some honey crisp apples and after entering them into spark people, I never realized how many carbs are in them. I ate it for a snack, is this bad, should I look into other fruit? Just wanted some advice.
  8. What is Nectar?
  9. I have that sometimes now and I am 5 months out. I still have a tendency to gulp and that is my problem. It will get better, I promise, hang in there!
  10. I have that problem too. I asked my doctor about it and he said he found it highly unlikley. I also still am on prenisone so I think that maybe why I fell that.
  11. I am 3 1/2 months out and I still can not get the concept of being smaller. My worst fear is that I will gain it all back. my husband on the other hand says he will kick my butt and make sure I do not but anyways. I know how you feel.
  12. yeah I would like to be one of those girls too, trust me, if I was too skinny my mom will let me know.

You will do fine!!!! Just think about how good you will feel later on, how much energy you will have and how many new clothes you will be able to buy
  14. 04/16/12  I am almost 4 months out and have lost 60lbs. My hair is falling out but not too bad, just notice if I run my hand through my hair and come out with a few strands. I hope everyone else is doing good!
  15. I am almost 4 months out and I get stalls too, in fact I am in one now for a little over a week now, kind of frustrating, I understand.
  16. I am 3 1/2 months out and I still can not get the hang of the meal plans. I seem to sway back to my old ways, only in smaller amounts. I have lost weight but I feel like I could lose more. This has really been bothering me. Today I was craving potato chips and french onion dip. I couldn't give into my craving because we had not chips but one of the girls here gave me some rice cakes and I dipped 2 in the dip just to satisfy my craving and now I feel so guilty about that. I just feel like I have been on the wrong track since day 1 and I do not know how to get back on. I am just looking for some suggestions of meal plans. Take into count I am on prednisone and have been for over a year so I am afraid that might be part of it but have not confirmed that with my doctor. Any help would be great, sorry to lay it all on here.
  17. I am glad you found us, Welcome. I too have a severe addiction to carbs. Still working on it actually. I am in my early 30s and had diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney disease and the overall feeling of just sluggishness. I have since gotten off my diabetes meds, halved my blood pressure pills, kidney disease is getting better and I have a lot of energy. It is so worth it!!!!!!!!
  18. I started them about 2 months out.
  19. I am not sure I like this, LOL. I weighed this morning, 260.
  20. I take a one of the chewy vitamins, I think vita craves too. I take 2 a day but maybe I need to look into that. I tried bariatric advantage but I just could not get them down, yuck.
  21. I have done very good since my April surgery not over doing it and getting sick, well that all came to a halt last night. I ate too fast and before getting in the car to go somewhere, I had to let it all out in the front yard. That is not too bad except I felt bad for the girl walking down the street that had to hear and see it.
  22. I was sleeved in April. I can not take those nasty vitamins, I got the gummy ones and they are great, just chew, chew, chew.
  23. Yay, so glad you are here and you are taking the journey with us. I have found some great and helpful people on here. If you need anything, let us know
  24. That is what I think, or that is what my husband and I think. It does increase your appetite.
  25. I had my sleeve on April 16th. I have been on Prednisone since April '11 for a kidney problem. I have noticed that even though us sleevers have had our hunger hormone removed that I still get hungry, and i don't mean in my head hungry, I mean my sleeve growls. I eat every couple of hours. I am still losing weight but I am worried that when I go off the prednisone that the hunger thing will stick. Any advice or anyone else have this problem. When I said something to my surgeon about still being hungry, he just said he finds that hard to believe.
