AutumnPunkin got a reaction from CrazyJaney in Sleevers over 300lbs?
Sorry it has been so long, it has taken me forever to figure out the android app for this site. Now I was able to find it today. I had RNY again Oct 31st, and was 282 lbs. A few months before that I worked my but off to try and lose as much as possible before surgery. My highest was 333 lbs. Today I am 241 lbs. So I still have 105 lbs to go, I am very happy with my progress!

The thing about this surgery rach, is that it is not a race. You have lost weight, and that in itself is such an amazing accomplishment. Hang in there, it will come off! Even if you only lost 6 lbs per month that's still 72 lbs per year. I don't know about you, but I have gained ever year except this last one.
Another thing I like about this surgery is that all of our bodies are different, why should our weight loss be the same. I personally am losing weight in the exact reverse I gained it. So I am grateful. I have lost more than you have, not much, but I cherish every pound I have as this is a pound I will never get back, assuming I have Control over that hehe.
You have every right to feel the way you do, and it can be upsetting when you do not make your goals, especially since that seems to be a story we all can relate to. Please remember, we are here for you, and you belong here with us always! We will all face a challenge where we need help.
    HUGS!

Hi, I am new to this forum. I had gastric bypass October 10, 2013. It was the best decision I have ever made concerning my weight. I am 67 years old and I have lost 50 ills so far, with 50 more to go! I was on 40 units of insulin daily and don't have to take any at all now. I have gone from 4 bp meds to only 1/2 pill for my bp. No cholesterol meds anymore either. I am so thrilled. I feel like I have a new lease on life.

That is a great idea! I never even thought of protein bars!! Protein Shakes are harder, I am ok with unjury, but cannot stomach them each day. I hate drinking protein, SO I will have to get a bit more creative. My new years resolution!
I am so grateful to everyone here, ???? (that is a heart in case it come up weird)
Also to add to the other great photos, I am 2 months out tomorrow (halloween surgery)
I am down a total of 88lbs. 50 prior to surgery, and 38 in 2 months. I cannot complain at that!

My biggest thing would be head hunger. What it truly is and the tricks you brain will play on you to get you to eat things you should not. It is something you must master and learn how to spot it. The best way I can describe it is to think of your brain as a two year old child. It will do anything to get what it wants. The tantrums will be epic and if you are prepared things will go smoother.
The first time I realized that people who are new to my life don't know what I used to look like. The self doubt of would you have been my friend if I still weighed 256.
Whatever relationship you think you have will food will be challenged. You must be ready to develop a new and healthy relationship with food. Be smart enough to look inside yourself and discover why you are eating that particular. Also to realize you are human and will fall of the wagon a few times. That's ok, but you have to pick yourself up and learn from those times.
Finally this is such an AWSOME journey. You learn so much about yourself. Your dreams really are possible

I am new out still, am 6 weeks out. I regret it every day. I am so tired, and all food makes me ill. But, I am not sure yet f I would actually want to get it reversed. I know it will get better. So regrets, right now yes, but I am not sure I would regret it a year from now
Sorry if this made no sense, I have been in a fog and am clumsy and not at all with it.

I also had a hard time the first weeks. I maybe had second thoughts.. After about eight weeks, things turned around, especially after I started walking. Depression after surgery is a side effect at times. You may feeling very differently in a short while.

I'm with you in this!! I am almost 2 months post-op and I am ALWAYS hungry!!! My stomach is always growling. I'm so frustrated and wondering what the hell I have done to myself. I went back to work last Monday full time and by yesterday I was so drained I could barely function. I've been walking every day and doin arm exercises and sit ups at home. I'm just so tired and sluggish. I'm so tired of starving all the time and am very jealous of all of you that have to force yourself to eat!!!!!

I'm exactly 2 calendar months out and today I broke the -50lb barrier! Weighed in this morning at 189 - started at 240 the day I started my pre-op diet.
This all seems to be going far too easily - I'm convinced my luck is going to run out soon!

I'm 2 months post-op and I'm not hungry either. I asked about it at my 6 week checkup and I was told it may take 6 months or so before hunger returns and that when it returns it will be different than hunger was pre-op. My hardest days are the weekend when I don't work. I forget to eat. I've noticed recently that I get a bit crabby and then I realize that I need to eat or drink a Protein drink. Then I feel better. During the week when I work, I pack my lunch and Snacks (protein drinks) slim a bit better about eating them.

We're the opposite! I'm hungry all the time…. I can only eat a little bit and I get full really fast, but I definitely have hunger.. I also have trouble drinking enough and getting enough protein.. I'm up to 5 cups of Fluid a day and I can get anywhere from 55-75 grams of Protein a day.. Its hard...

So I have been posting on the general forum since surgery (Halloween) about being in severe pain. So tonight I went to the emergency and it turns out my pain is not surgically related. I have swollen infected kidneys. This is the source of my pain. So I am on antibiotics and am soo looking forward to not being in pain. Feeling so painfully happy right now. So far down 15lbs since Halloween and 65 overall. Yay!!

SO this is really hard to fathom, I always knew pre op that weight would be coming off fast in the initial period, but I didn't really think it would happen to me. My surgery was last thursday and in 2 days I lost 7 pounds. I understand the mechanics behind this, but wow!!! This is a little surreal!
