1. SO I am 9 months post op, and have lost 150 pounds. Current weight, 183, highest weight 333 pounds. I feel amazing! I am participating in my first 5k this Saturday, and am participating in a 9k obstacle course run in august. Woohoo! I love my new life.
2. So I wanted to update everyone. I am actually 29 years old. Great guesses out there!! The reason I asked, is because my entire life people have always thought I was at least 10-15 years older than I am. Since I have lost weight, I get a lot of the opposite, which is an entirely new feeling. Thank you so much for playing <3 So about a year ago, I posted on a few different forums asking how old people thought I was. Now I am 9 months post op, I wonder how I look age - wise now. If you know my age, please don't spoil it. I will post my age after I get an idea from people. Thanks for playing. Be honest.

Sorry it is sideways. I have no idea why it does that.
3. So I wanted to share some amazing non scale victories from today. So for our engagement anniversary, my hubby and I went kayaking. First victory, the instructor said I was quite small, and gave me a medium sized wet suit! Whoa!! I felt great!! One lesson we had to do was capsize our boat and climb out of the water into our boat in water that was over our head. Not only was I able to do this, I was able to do this with minimal effort! I fit into the kayak, with lots of room. I never have to worry about the weight capacity of a kayak ever again. I kayaked for 7 hours and Ai don't feel sore at all!!. Such an amazing day for victories. Also, I went swimming with my nephew last week, and he wanted to go down the big boy slide, he is 3. My brother and I told him that he was too little and even daddy is too big for the slide. He looks and my brother and states "you're right, daddy is huge!" A few minutes later, he looks and to me and says "can't auntie niki take me, she's not big". I love this child!!! Yay!!!
4. I am currently 7 months post op, and have lost over 140 pounds since I started working towards a healthier me! I am even participating in two races this summer. One race is called the dirty dash, which is basically a mud run, the other is called concrete hero. I am so proud to be doing these, as I never thought I would ever do something like this. I have attached a link to my concrete hero personal page. On my page, I have a little video about my weight loss- photos, photos! after I finish the dirty dash, I will add even more photos to the video. Feel free to check it out! I am so stoked by this! I feel like I am really getting my life back!!! http://www.concretehero.ca/site/TR/Events/Vancouver2014/49562932?px=1029781&pg=personal&fr_id=1050
5. I would love to read you blog <3
6. I am still mostly on the fence about regret, but teetering towards minimal regret. I have had a lot of complications, and I mean a lot, but I feel kinda reborn. I have lost almost 140 pounds and can do things so much easier and actually enjoy life. So to weigh the pros and cons of this surgery, the ability to finally live, and have self confidence has been a huge pros. I regret that my health seems so much less "healthy" than pre op as I had no Co-morbidities, and now post op I need to literally watch everything due to complications and be careful with my everyday choices (anaphylaxis risks, pancreatic risks, liver risks and more from this surgery). But at this very moment I feel pretty awesome about my appearance. So to sum up, regret yes, but at least I am living my life better, which may out weight the regret. My only concern is what long term problems will I have due to complications. Keep in my most of my complications my doctor has never heard of, and was completely unexpected!
7. Thank you so much! I just bought that dress today from a store called "sirens". I is the first time I have ever worn something like that. It was a great experience. I wasn't going to shop there because the biggest size they had was a large, but I decided to see how far I had to go. I am so psyched about fitting it. I waited for this feeling for a long time, as we all have. I love this group so much, especially the October group because everyone is so supportive here. I belonged to a couple facebook groups and led t because they were not supportive. Everyone is so awesome, and Ai truly mean that ! <3 Flowers for my friends
8. Absolutely <3. Although it is difficult, I have an amazingly supportive fiancé and family to keep me going. It could still be worse besides I am loving the new body Sorry ye they are sideways. Not sure why.
9. I also wanted to agree with you molly about this not being the easy way out. I feel although k have lost weight, that I am more unhealthy now that I was before surgery. I have had a lot of reactions to this surgery and am having to be literally deathly afraid of trying new things. I struggle daily with nutrition, fluids, "will this cause me anaphylaxis", and am I going to be in pain today. I am suffering from this surgery, so this is in no way an easy way out. I found out recently that I have become hypersensitive to foods and medicines since surgery. My surgeon states that I am uniquely reacting to the surgery. Besides the risks of anaphylaxis, I get acute pancreatitis too. Go figure. So easy, heck no, worth it, still pondering, DO I feel so much more confident and can tie my own shoe laces. Heck ya!! ~hugs
10. Most people know I have had bariatric surgery. I don't keep personal secrets well. I tend to blurt out the answers to anything I may possibly try to hide. I do also add on after I am asked "I basically eat raw-vegan/ paleo". This often gets me weird looks and I explain that I get inspiration to eat healthy from those groups, and I eat meat. I also add that I cannot physically eat bread, pastas or rice. I am very picky about the food that goes in my mouth, and I do allow the odd indulgent. But that is rare. I feel so supported about my decisions from my friends. So I basically, to eventually answer your question and am brutally honest with them lol. Not that I could hide it if I wanted to hehe
11. Hi everyone! Finally made it to onderland!! Again lol. I was 198 than went up to 203 argh. And finally back down to 199. I am pleased with this, but strangely enough, I am not as happy as I thought I would be. I am surprised by this. I thought hitting onderland would have me bouncing of the walls with excitement. Alas, it did not. I am feeling a little funny mentally lately. I can see the difference my body has gone through. I tried on a shirt yesterday that was once tight, and it is a night gown haha. Proud of that one, but I feel like I am becoming more unhappy with my weight as I am not losing it much anymore. I lose about 6 pounds a month, which is great, but the victories seem so far away now. I still have 60 pounds to lose, which I realize is not much. I am hoping to lose 40 pounds in the next 6 months, but at my current loss, I feel I should only expect 20 pounds. This is my update. How are you doing?

13. Hello! I had 197 pounds to lose. I had surgery October 31st. I have lost 135 pounds now and am finally in onederland. I am feeling fabulous, even though I am not thin, I am the thinnest I have been in years. I still have about 60 pounds to lose to reach my goal, but I think I would be happy if this was it. I have come so far and am proof that it can be done!!
14. Did you make it to onderland? I am 1 pound away sigh...
15. Yup. Mine is almost identical to the paderno spiralizer, but I think it is a fake version hehe. Mine is called jumbl. I didn't want to wait 3 months for a paderno. I love it so much. I literally use it daily. Check out inspiralized.Com she has some amazing techniques and recipes. She is my inspiration. This week I tried some zucchini noodles with a parmesian basil sauce. It was high in fat for 100ml, but it didn't work out to mich with only had 2 T on my noodles. It... was. . Heavenly. I like that a few ones on has 14 calories. So worth the change!
16. I am so glad you are ok now. I am so so sorry you went through this ♡
17. It definitely does sound like irritable bowel syndrome. How much fiber are you getting per day? Have you had a colonoscopy?
18. I cannot eat bread, pasta, rice or potatoes SO I rely heavily on my spiralizer!
19. I love my spiralizer. I will attempt to attach some pictures.

21. I am the same way here. I have stalled a lot, but I am learning my body now. I realize that I do lose weight each month, but only in the last 2 weeks of the month. For the last 2 months I lose between 6-8 pounds a month. But the scale is at a stand still for 2-3 weeks. It frustrated me at first, especially since I am 201 pounds. Give me that freaking onderland. I still have 60 pounds to lose to reach my goal weight. So i have a lot more to lose. To help me get through it I look at how far I come. I have lost over 130 pounds. Yay me lol. I exercise more but at times I feel like Ai over eat. I am getting the amount my nut wants me to eat, but I still feel like I disagree with her. I don't get the amount of carbs she wants me to have. I eat enough carbs to maintain my brain function and that is about it. My meals are Proteins, vegetables, healthy fats and fruits only. I don't eat bread, Pasta, rice, or potatoes because they make me feel yucky. I do feel my body has adjusted to the lower calories and healthy foods that it no longer wants to lose weight. Hang in there everyone, like it was said before, I am sure our bodies are playing catch up. You know your body best. What do you feel you could be doing better? For me it was really bad for Protein, so I now do Protein shakes (only took me 6 months lol). I could not stand any protein shakes to begin with and now I found 2 I like. I also feel like I need to go back to weighing my food. I have been throwing up too much or have been feeling way too uncomfortable lately. So this week I plan to weigh out my 5 oz again. Anything more than that and pure ickiness. Here are my stats now fellow besties! Hw: 333 Sw: 282 Cw: 201.....
22. That is really comforting to know!! Thank you for asking ♡
23. You do not look 277 pounds. Maybe 210 pounds! You look amazing
24. See this is more what I was expecting to have post op. And I wonder why I have only lost 15 pounds in 3 months.
