I called and they said it would take three days. I take the stool test on day eleven. The surgeons assistant said it should be clear by day ten so I am crossing my fingers it worked. If not I will see what happens after. Might retest on the sixteenth day since the fourteenth day is a weekend. If it still comes negative then I will most likely need to take the quadruple dose of meds.

I didn't read all the responses but if I'm not attracted to a person whether large or small I just can't date them. I refuse to date a guy whether skinny or bigger with bad eating habits. I don't have a problem with junk food here and there but to just eat crap ALL the time is bad. I had an ex who would eat loads of meat, and thought that was "manly."

I noticed that from a few days to two weeks closer to two weeks has been the norm.

Thats awesome. I have to wait until my meds are done, and the test from the Pylori comes back.

Im asymmtomatic ( I know I spelled that wrong, lol.) I am glad your are better. How long did it take to clear?
-
Wait... They sent out your paperwork to insurance? I was told straight up my insurance will deny my butt with a positive H pylori. Ugh.
-
How long did it take to approve once your papers were given/sent out? I have asked before, but most answers were people who had private insurance.

So this is a retest so I am assuming this is your first stool drop off from knowing about the H pylori via endoscopy or other means? Were you prescribed anything before, and if so how long were you on it?My docs said don't worry. I had to do a retest stool sample just dropped off today. Yuck! If it's positive 7 days of antibiotics. She never mentioned anything about a 30 day retest. However, since you all are saying 30 days Tis probably the case was hoping for an August 1 sleeve!
Btw, to anyone else how long did it take to get the results of the stool/breath/blood taste? I am hoping my hospital does their own blood test.

Yea that REALLY SUCKS if I have to wait THIRTY DAYS?!! Im just extremely mad, because my doctor didnt prescribe me anything to treat it despite her know since beginning of JUNE! When I last spoke to my surgeons assistant she didnt mention waiting thirty days. I will call in the morning.

Does it alter the taste of any of your soups, teas, or anything you add it in?

I hold my weight mostly in my trunk. I knew a girl who was an apple and was 140 and a size 6, at 5'4. For me at 250 I was a size 20 in jeans, a size 18 at 210, then at 190-200 I was mostly a size 13/14 some brands a like Beyonces brand I was a 16, at Lane Bryant the 14/16 tops would go on but were kind of big. There is a size difference between juniors, womens, and misses. I wore 1x tops, but my boobs were still big so if I had like C or D cups I might have fit into something smaller. So for me every 20 or so pounds I went down in jeans. However its hard to break it down once the body is in the 160's or 150s because even a tiny loss can change a size. I googled the size I wanted to be and asked at what weight should I be, and it varied between 125-145 (at the time I wanted to be a 6.)

Anyone didnt have to wait a month to retest?
-
The whole process took me a more than a year from the initial consultation to the surgery. I had to do a six month supervised diet, one chest x ray, two chest ct (doc wanted to make sure there were no infections[ I have asthma], stress test two times( the first one was over a year old). I also did the egd and found out I had H. Pylori so that had to cleared up. I did a two night sleep study. My pcp kept screwing up filling out the supervised diet form. Lastly, I was called a day before surgery and told that my date was changed from 5/14 to 5/15. Don't give up. Like other folks said, the time will fly by. You have to make sure you are mentally and physically prepared for this.
HoneyBeeBK I noticed you are from NY most likely BK if I presume correct, me too. Anywho how long did it take your pylori to go away?

I just was told that my insurance wont approve me with h pylori so I have to wait until its cleared before they send all my info through. Sux.

So my doctor effed me up. She decided NOW that she wanted to treat my H pylori, and I feel only because my surgery date is this month and I persisted in making sure I had everything together. I saw her last month, and she made it seem like it was no big deal. So I have been taking my meds since Fri/Sat. I got a call today that I might have to have my surgery pushed back because the administrative assistant of my surgeon told me she cant send in my documentation until I am done taking the meds, and have retested for it. Aint' that some ish?! And here my doctor is all "La Dee Da" telling me that they dont usually treat it. Come to find out it can cause stomach cancer if untreated. SMDH. I'm pissed but nothing I can do now, but wait, and take meds. Anyone know any additional remedies that might help. I am working on a tight schedule.

My duncey head doctor recently gave me prescriptions to treat my h pilori* so I might have to push my surgery back.

Was it twenty pounds, thirty pounds before you were able to go into a smaller sizes pants? Since I'm top heavy my pants get smaller than the shirts. All booby, all the time I guess

Marty you are killing me over here, lol, especially your "Well Doc, I had a spot of coffee, with a little dash of Palmolive." lol. Funny. Has anyone tried apple juice? When my son was constipated apple juice was an option. Maybe you can find some unsweetened apple juice or baby apple juice and try that. I heard pear juice is good as well. Apples make me go to the bathroom fast, as well as bananas. I'm not post op yet, but by day ten I would hope you could have a banana, or maybe banana puree (baby food.) I'd suggest drinking more liquids. Hot liquids always got me going, and sometimes I would put a dash of cayenne pepper (definitely ask your doctor before trying the cayenne pepper.) Cayenne pepper is suppose to be different than black pepper because its not suppose to make your booty burn, however I have found if you use to much its possible. Good luck all.
