  1. I tried diet pepsi, mountain dew, sprite, and fanta which i was addicted to before surgery, they tasted soooo bad and i felt every single bubble and felt the bubbles crawl up to my throat and it was just horrific experience, now i just stick to mango juice or Water, my doctor discouraged it overall, but it isnt banned, but it just makes me suffer and doesn't taste that good anymore, so yeahh

  2. I'm Hanan, I just turned 20 years old recently, I study Intl. Relations and translation.

I have been suffering with my weight since I was 10 years old, I kept losing and gaining and once I actually got to 57 kgs, but that went away fast as soon as I graduated high school and passed my first semester in uni, and I became 106 kgs which is my highest weight ever. It took me a long time to convince my parents about the surgery, but after trying every therapy and diet it doesn't work.

I finally decided that I want to live my 20s to the fullest and be very happy and eventually get married and have an amazing career and love life.

It has been only 25 days, and I have lost 14 kgs, and I am currently at a stall, but I have hope, I feel better, and I hope by next semester, which is in a month, people will notice my weight loss and feel better about myself and get my grades up, and I hope by September, with the start of the fall semester I will be at goal weight and be on the dean's list! Too ambitious? :P

  3. I have started soft-solid foods for a week now, I usually can keep the food down, but sometimes if I'm having Pasta or anything that even has the slightest bit of oil or spicy paste I cannot keep it down and I have to vomit right after, I seriously don't know what to eat, I'm a university student so I really need to eat carbs and keep my energy up and my surgeon supported me on that, I dunno what to eat and I dunno if this vomiting is just normal or is it going to turn into bulimia, because I have met someone who had the sleeve and then it turned into serious bulimia, help!

  4. For me it was about 10 days, I had to go back to university 5 days after surgery, which was so hard, but I had to. Now I'm 18 days out and I feel fantastic! My clothes fit better, seats are easier to fit in and everyone is noticing, and moving is waay easier! I only turned 20 recently, maybe this is cuz of my age =/ but I feel muchhh better, and my energy is up, so yeah, hope that helped =/
