  1. When I was a skinny girl in 2001 I weighed 115. My boobs were still good size 34 DDD (full size cup). 5 months after surgery the cup size is the same but as everyone states they are headed south. I buy the good bras "Wacoal" from Macy's. Now I am in a 38G. Before surgery 44G. I too will consider a lift after all the weight loss is done and I am maintaining.

    Hair Loss

Ok just a little fact. I was watching Dr. Oz last week and the average person loses about 100 strands a day. So if you see like a handful then I would be concerned otherwise it is normal to lose some. Hope this helps.

    Liz new beginnings

  4. Everyday is better than before

  5. HI, I am 3 1/2 months since I was sleeved and I am down 40 lbs. Some weeks I lose nothing, some weeks 1-2 lbs and some weeks up to 4 lbs. Hang in there. It will come off.

    Fab 40's shout out

Hi ya, I am 41. I am starting to feel like my old self from the 30's decade. I weighted 122 when I met my husband in 2001. I am working hard to get back that old size. When people look at me they never believe I am in my 40's. They say maybe 35 and that sounds so great. I have lost 39 lbs so far. The compliments are trickling my way now and that feels great too.
  7. HI my journey started 10/31/2011. I have lost 39 lbs so far. I am 4'11". So I think I am losing slower because my BMI is less than most. I eat 3 times a day plus a protein shake. Typical morning is Greek Yogurt 14 grams protein (but it has fruit in it) I do sacrifice carbs for the fruit flavor. Otherwise the Yogurt is gross. Lunch is typically left overs from the night before dinner. I try to make lean protein dinners. It could be a chicken breast baked, or lean ground turkey made with salsa and grated parmesan cheese.I try to limit the portion to 3-4 oz protein serving. Then I add a vegetable or fruit. I found at the dollar store 2.3 oz storage containers. They are the bomb. I just fill those up and take them to work with me for my meal/portion control. I do cheat sometimes with Lindt chocolate truffles. But I eat one or two. Not the half the bag like before. I am very strict about drinking 30 minutes before and after meals. I stay away from sodas. I drink herbal teas.
  8. Any mood modifing medication should be monitored by your doctor. If the meds are not working the same tell your doctor what they are doing. Tell your doctor that the stomache is only 15% of previous capacity and that the time release may not be a good option in your case. Weight, age and tolerance are big factors with prescriptions. Good luck. Hope you can get back on track. P.S. I found after the surgery I had a lot of stress because I was an emotional eater and my food was basically taken away. So that has been a big adjustment for me.

    New And Considering The Sleeve

Hi, I too had some medical issues and had to take prednisone and blew up to over 100lbs over weight. I delt with the over weight for 8 yrs. Yo yo diets, depression and lack of self love. I hated the way I looked and who I became. I am 3 months after surgery. The surgery sucks. Eating small portions sucks. Going out to dinner and can only eat 6oz sucks. The dumping syndrome is real that sucks too. Ok the positives. I have lost 37 lbs on a 4'11" frame so far. I feel better than ever. I am getting back to my old self. I eat proteins first then the veges and fruits second. Occasionally I will take a bite or two of carbs like rice or pasta. I am still trying to overcome the comfort eating. That will be a life journey. So would I recommend this to a friend? If I knew that you would be serious and stick to the diet, nuttrional needs and know that this is life changing. If you wanted a quick fix and then I would say no. This is only a band aid to the whole issue of eating healthy and a life style change. Good luck to whatever you choose.

Frustrated No Loss 8days 2 Months Out 17th

Dang old stalls. Don't give up. Your body is adjusting to new weight.
  11. Hi my surgery was 10/31/11. Nine weeks after surgery I lost 23 in 4 weeks, 6 lbs in 3 weeks, and 4 lbs in 2 weeks. It did get discouraging the second month because it is coming off slower. The scale is moving weekly but not very fast. I know it took years to put on and in 2 1/2 months I am down 33 lbs so I am still happy.
  12. This happens to me when I started eating carbs like bread, pasta or rice. Sometimes it happens to me if I eat too fast. This is happening less and less as time goes on. I am in my 10th week.
