    Problems Eating Meat, Anyone?

I can tolerate a tender steak better than chicken. Funny huh. I'm 6 weeks out. I have not tried pork yet.
  14. It's so funny because after surgery you will find that food is not as important thing in your life. Preop I would day dream for hours about what I wanted for "my last meal". Now at 6 weeks out I think how the hell am I going to get this protein in. I have tried a lot of things. Eggs don't sit with me well. The feeling in my new little stomach doesn't like the feeling of the protein shakes. Don't get me wrong I would love to eat the breads, rice, cakes etc but I refuse to even introduce those because that's what got me in my situation. so I don't want them. I love my sleeve because food is not my center of the world right now for the first time in my life : )
  15. I started sleeping on my stomach in the hospital. I just propped pillows just right. It was uncomfortable at first then the pain goes away after a minute or two after you relax. I didn't take much pain meds either. I think two doses after I got home. So I don't think it wasn't to bad because I wasn't to drugged. Lol

    Weight Lost

Yep, they are for adults. You can get them anywhere like Walgreens, target, Walmart. The caramel ones are a little expensive. Like $9 for 100 of them. But very worth it : )

    Question About Eating

When I feel that pressure of full then I stop. I'm a nurse and a mom so I also eat quickly. This is the hardest part for me. When I was fresh post op it would only be a few bites too. Now @ 5 weeks I can eat like 2 -3 oz chicken breast. It never takes me 30 min to get full though. In not sure if this is cool or not though. I have lost 42 lbs since surgery. But I have a hard time getting in protein like I should.

    Pills Question

I had a wound infection and my doctor said I didn't have to crush my pills I would be fine. I was fine so I took my other pills and ibuprofen with no problems. I was 2 weeks post op. I'm 5 weeks out now. Hope you feel better soon.

    Fruit

It's because of the bacteria I think. That's why they told me canned veggies only. I was dying for a banana. He told me to go ahead and eat one. That was at 4 weeks.

    Slow Weight Loss

I did lose a lot post op . Like 35 lbs my first 3 weeks. But my BMI was like 70! So I wouldn't worry to much. Your body has to settle a little bit. I also can drink pretty normal. Now that I'm eating semi normal I know that my stomach was reduced because I can't eat but a few bites of meats and feel full. Eggs still dont feel good in there for some reason. I was sleeved April 10th. I am making chili right now. That sits beautifully and keeps me full. : )

Why My Size Is The Same

I know why I haven't changed sizes even though I have lost 40 lbs since my sleeve on April 10th because my clothes were tight as hell : ) now they are loose. : )
  23. Im 4 weeks out and I can do spicy without problems. Salsa keeps the meat moist. I haven't tried fried yet. Oh I did try 1 chicken wing. It didn't bother me at all. I myself am going to stay away from fried because that's what kind of landed me here in the 1st place. Oh yeah along with the cakes and ice creams. I won't be touching those either lol.
  24. I was sleeved on April 10th and I can have all meats that are soft. Even red meat. I have tried everything and no problems. Eggs and tuna don't sit right but I do have a problem with not eating slow. I have to defiantly work on that because I don't like that feeling. I have never puked yet but I don't go over 2 oz of meat at a time.
