Got sleeved on Wed. Got home last night. Not feeling well at all. The morphine they gave me made me sick each time I threw up. My sides feel like I got hit by a Mack truck. I am not able to eat/drink much. I am on full liquid diet. I am going to go back to bed and rest now.

YAY!!! Congratulations! I wish you well tomorrow! Mine is Wednesday. I can't wait, either! Good Luck!

This is exactly what I am going to ask the hospital when they give me my surgery time tomorrow. I like the idea of just bringing the mask instead of the whole thing. I hope that is the case.

Thank you SO much! This is a GREAT help!!!

You are so cute, Dooter!!! I hope it ends quickly for you guys. I am not looking forward to that. I am tired of being hungry. I am on day 13 of the 2 week liquid diet. It is a constant nagging, as I am sure you both well know!

Hi! Do the staples always stay in the stomach on the new sleeve, or do they absorb or something over time?

I get sleeved on Wednesday!!! (Mar 28) I have been wanting this for 10 years!!! Finally all the stars and planets have aligned and I am more than ready!!! Between having babies and insurance, I haven't been able to until now. I am so grateful to be in this position to take control of my life and be able to LIVE it!

I got a cruiser.. no speeds, seat is larger, tires are larger. It works for me for now.
Please, what brand and name of bike and what store did you get the bike? I need to get one soon! thanks!

Hi all! Now that it is spring I really want to get a bike to ride with my family, but I don't have a bike! I haven't ridden since I was a teenager. What kind of bike can I get to hold me? I am 350. Any suggestions that won't cost me a fortune? Thanks!

I am glad to find this. At my pre-op appt. on March 8, 20 12, I was 410. FOUR-10! I couldn't believe the scale. My surgery is scheduled for March 28th. I have lost 18 lbs on my 2 week liquid diet so far. My weight has been a struggle my WHOLE life. Even as a 5 year old I was obese. I am so ready for a new life. I have a wonderful family. I have the best husband ever and four beautiful children. I need to be here for them, for me. I have never been in control of my weight. I have been wanting to have WLS for 10 years, but the timing with insurance and babies was never right. Now that I am finished having children and insurance pays for it once again, I can do it. Thank you all for being an inspiration to me.

Sorry it has been so long. I have been drinking EAS brand shakes. They have 42 g of Protein. So far, they are the best tasting to me, in fact, I am drinking one right now! As far as exercise, I try to move around more, I do have bike pedals I use when I don't hurt so badly. My knees are both bone on bone and walking is terribly painful. We have a pool, and will be opening it soon, so that will be my main source of exercise.Wow congratulations 18 lbs in 6days is great, what Protein Shakes are you taking? Are you exercising aswell?
