I just got released from the hospital. I feel better now that the drain is out. But I am still very sore. Im trying to take on the amount of calories required but I seem to only be getting in like maybe 300 if that. How much donut take in? How frequently can u take drink and how many ml a time?

I have to wait til october too I've been on this journey since feb. I could probably have it the end of august8 but I have to wait because my husband deploys soon and I live so far from family I don't have anyone to care for my 2 year old til oct. even though we have yo wait a little bit it will be ok. It will help get u mentally ready who knows, we may have it around the same time.

I'm a little nervous but still excited to get this ball rolling what do u discuss in your first visit?
-
Ho to ur pcm and ask them for a referral. And then they give you a call for the initial visit.
What surgeon did u have at tripler?
-
Well I went to the initial visit. They said on average it takes anywhere from 4-6 months depending on how proactive you are in getting everything done.

I wanted to see if anyone has had the vsg done at tripler hospital. And if you have, who was your surgeon?

My husband is stationed in HI and I just got a referral from my pcm on friday. He told me that it will take a week or two to hear from my surgeon fir my first visit. I know the process is a little bit different since I don't have to go through insurance because im getting it done on tripler army hospital. Has anyone gone through the military to get it done and if so what was the timeline like?

My nutritionist told me to just chew chew chew. U can get it in that texture without putting it in the blender. It is a lot easier to eat meat. She even said I can have sandwich meat.
