  1. Hi Yazzy, congratulations! I was sleeved on 3/06/12 so I'm coming up on my first anniversary and although I was extremely nervous too it was the best decision I've ever made. I'm healthier and happier and soon you will be too. Try your hardest to stick with the liquid diet and start walking as soon as you can the day of your surgery. Believe it or not walking brought more relief to me then the pain meds. Be prepared for extreme dry mouth the day of your surgery until the next day when they can ex ray you to make sure there are no leaks and just remember you will be able to feel hydrated again. The first time you try to poop it will feel like you forgot how but that's only temporary and for some people doesn't happen at all. Most importantly be easy on yourself, ask more of others for a time and really think water, protein, water, protein...the most amazing thing was from the minute I woke up from surgery, the constant cravings were gone. Best of luck to you, go for it!

    Bowling Ball

It took me around a month to feel normal. The medicine they gave me made me feel worse. But the good news is it steadily got better so every day felt better than the previous. I was sleeved on 3-6-12, and wouldn't change it for the world but that first month I might not have been inclined to say that:) best of luck and keep your chin up.
  3. Can I just say how much I appreciate my sleeve? I felt like I wasn't doing things all together right but I felt great so I wasn't going to stress myself out over it. I got on the scale expecting not to have lost much since last week and eight more pounds was gone. I was sooo happy and thankful, just wanted to share. Thanks for giving me the forum!
  4. Before my surgery I rarely drank more than a few sips of my husbands cold beer every blue moon. Starting last week I have been craving alcohol just out of the blue. Has any one else experienced this? Is it some kind of deficiency? I don't think alcohol has any nutritional value but I'm wanting it for some reason lol.

    Feeling Very Negative

When I read your post my heart went out to you. Who wouldn't feel that way after what you've been through. I'm 6+ weeks out and I've had thoughts of 'what if...' I hope you get some relief soon.
  6. I ate half a piece of pizza instead of my yogurt, bad choice. Sad about it.

Help Me! I Still Have A Rash!

I had my surgery on march 6th and I'm going through the same thing. Terribly itchy, all over my tummy. When I called the dr. The told me I shouldn't itch at all. I don't get it either but will be watching to see how things go with you. Sent from my iPad using VST

Please Help Im Post Op 5 Days

If you have a GNC near you I would try isopure. It's 40grams of Protein, in 20oz liquid the consistency of water. Alpine punch is the best flavor IMO, but there's also pineapple banana, grape and one blue one I can't remember but I think it's some kind of raspberry. Good luck for sure. Be good to yourself and trust you'll get your energy back. I'm almost four weeks post op and vacuumed yesterday. Slowly but surely, you'll start to feel normal again. At least that's what I hear everyone saying:) Sent from my iPad using VST
