  1. I've strained my soups and just used the broth from it. It's much better than the regular broth, yuck! Or you can always slow cook your own broth and fill it with veggies and seasonings of your choice just watch the sodium. Good luck
  2. I agree, get that protein in. Sip protein first, it's the most important aside from water. Good luck
  3. Good thing is you recognize your mistake, it's never too late to correct it. You can do it
  4. No cal count, nothing but a pre op paper with food choices and how many servings I could have. I can have unlimited broth, sf Jello and Popsicles, crystal light or any 0calorie drinks, coffee or tea. And 1-2 servings of Protein shakes, half cups of skim milk-1serv, cottage cheese(yuck!), soy milk, light yogurt 1/8ozserv... So I'm lost really. Just concerned about the shakes. Thanks so much for replying
  5. I'm loving this! Thanks for sharing
  6. WTG on your weightloss so far. I have that dizziness going on as well if i get up too fast. Congrats on a job well done and thanks for sharing
  7. About how much protein would you say? I'm taking in 60g a day.
  8. How many calories, carbs and sugars are you taking in each day? I'm struggling to make it to 800 cals. I fear that at this rate I won't lose weight on the liquids and my body will go into starvation mode. It's tough not having a scale because I can't see if I'm losing any weight. I had got to a point where my body was burning fat and my metabolism had boosted from the norm. I don't want my body to go backwards I'm on day 5 of the pre op diet. Go to the doctor the day before surgery. I want to do my body more good than harm. Any feedback would be great. Thanks
  9. I'm consuming two a day during the pre op diet. Since they are so low in carbs and sugar, I was wondering if I could consume three a day. What are your thoughts on this? Any feedback would be helpful. Please share Thanks, Lala
  10. Almost there! everything will be great. Looking forward to your updates. Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery
  11. Yay!! Congrats!
  12. Cool! I have also noticed that I go to the bathroom more often. It even wakes me up out of my sleep, haven't had that happen since I was pregnant But Im glad you are doing well and we are pretty much doing the same diet. Only thing is, I find the broths to be very nasty. Besides that, everything is ok. Good luck and Im here if you need to talk. Message me anytime.

Today is day 4 and I am doing better than I thought. At the beginning of the diet I was having a hard time consuming broth(its gross) so I have tried the can soups with low sodium and strain them and just sip on the broth. This has worked so far. It feels wasteful but what I do is feed the meat and noodles to my kids at lunchtime. They love it (for now) Im struggling to make it to 800 cals. Im still trying to figure out how am I suppose to make it there just on liquids. As each day goes by it gets easier. The smell of food cooking during the day makes me miss the little food I did eat however I am managing. I keep in mind that this is for a good cause and if I slip up or mess up, it could cause my surgery to be canceled and I dont want that at all. This morning I made breakfast for my kids--pancakes and bacon--which is my favorite. But I made it through and I pray that I continue to do well. My mom has been on board as added support so shes doing the liquids with me but of course with other foods just in a soupy consistency. It feels good to have her support. In addition my husband is being very supportive and he's changing his eating habits as well. He has already lost weight and Im proud of him also. I have been drinking the Premier Protein Shakes from Sams Club. They are good. Since they are low carb and sugar I often wondering if I could drink three instead of two. Im not too sure so I just keep it at my two servings. Jell-o is my friend and sugar-free popsicles are becoming my very best friend. I find that if I stay ahead of my hunger, I do ok. I aim for every 2-3 hours to consume something rather its jell-o, popsicle, crystal light, propel or any sugar-free/low cal drink. Im excited to see how much weight I have lost over this period of time. My annual appointment is the day before surgery. Cant wait! Day 4 almost at an end. Thankful to have made it through Good luck to all my May Bandster Buddies. Until next time, remember, YOU are in control of your destiny. God Bless Lala

  20. Hi. I too am kind of struggling with the liquids only. I wish I could have veggies. I'm only on day 2 and I just want to vomit from all the liquids. I'm trying to keep my mind focused on why I'm doing this. Congrats on your weightloss! That's awesome! Keep up the good work. You have just inspired me. How many shakes areu having a day?
