  1. I have gone back in forth in my mind about surgery. It clicked that this was best for me when I reconciled in my mind that I would survive if my current relationship with food ended, but I may not survive if my current relationship with food continues. Once I was okay with "breaking up" with food, everything else clicked into place for me.
  2. Congrats! You look incredible!! Keep up the good work!!!
  3. You are truly your own worse critic (as am I). I look at your picture and I see a beautiful, active woman and I can't wait to join you on the loser's bench.
  4. Congrats!!! Keep up the good work!
  5. Glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. Keep the updates coming.
  6. and I am ready to meet with my surgeon! I scheduled surgeon, psych, and nutritionist all for April 24th to avoid taking too much time off of work. But now that all the other prerequisites are complete, I'm ready to get the ball rolling now. During my intake I was told that (as long as all tests come back okay) the paperwork should be ready to submit to insurance shortly after meeting with the surgeon. I hate to wish time away (especially since I'm on spring break this week ), but come on April 24th!
  7. I went through several weeks of being hung-ho, nervous, telling myself I could loose weight through sheer will power (yeah right), and am now comfortable with my decision to pursue surgery. I am still in the pre-op phase. Keep reading the threads on here. Keep researching. You will know the "right choice" for you. I think the turning point for me was when it clicked that I would be okay, even better than okay, if I never ate the bad foods that I eat now again. I can do this, an so can you.
  8. I could have written your pst word for word. Thank you for putting words to my thoughts. Let's be determined together!
  9. YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!!!!!! So happy for your success.
  10. This is one of my fears. I am so used to chugging. I'm trying to start the sips now (pre-surgery) but it doesn't always work.
  11. CONGRATS!!! What an amazing feeling. Can't wait to join you.
  12. I expect that my band size will decrease with weight loss, but what about cup size? I love my Ds and would like for them to stick around. Lol
  13. Sounds like its going well. Keep the updates coming.
