  7. Happens to me all.the.time. I usually just wiggle my toes inside my shoes as I am on the elliptical. I have noticed that the tingling toes start later the more I use the machine. It used to happen within the first 5 minutes. Now I can go 15 minutes without tingling. I've tried all sorts of different shoes. It also happens when I'm on the bike, but not the treadmill.
  8. Way to Go New_Hope! Sent from my iPad using VST
  9. You look GREAT! Thanks for sharing your update. I will also be having a hernia fixed and wondered what that would be like. Your incisions don't look nearly as bad as I had envisioned. :phew:
  10. I also bought some of the Syntrax nectar. Not sure if it will work for Clear liquids (will ask my NUT when I go for my pre-op class next week). If its not okay'd for clears, I'm sure it will be okay for full. I also bought different brands of the unflavored to mix with broths. I went on BJs Bariatrics, unjury, and Nashua Nutrition to order sample packs. When's your surgery scheduled for? I'm June 27th.
  11. Sounds like your are doing great, Sunshine. I hope to mirror your success.
  12. I am LOVING my Fitbit. Don't know how I got along without it. Sent from my iPad using VST

  15. I am pre-op and thought I would have a food funeral. I even planned the place and the meal. However, since I've started working out, none of those foods seem worth it to me. I work out 5-6 days a week for an hour or more. And when I leave the gym I feel pumped! I just don't want to "mess up" all that hard work with certain foods. I am 11 days away from starting my pre-op diet and I doubt I'll do anything different than I'm doing now with regards to tracking food and making better choices. No disrespect to anyone who chooses to have a food funeral, just not for me.
  16. Thinking of all of tomorrow's sleevers. Update us when you can. Sent from my iPad using VST

  18. I hope you found something that worked. Can't wait to be in your shoes.
  19. At first I intended to tell no one other than my immediate family and doctors. In the last couple of weeks I have started telling people when as it comes up. Like if someone asks me what I'm doing this summer, I respond that I plan to spend the first part of summer recuperating from surgery. If they ask what kind, I tell them. I was at a birthday party yesterday and told a close family friend and my mother in law when they questioned why I wasn't eating much or drinking. I'm still pre-op, but am watching my calorie intake, even before surgery. The two I told yesterday are two of the biggest loud mouths I know, so I'm sure half the city knows by this morning. 20. Work it Girl! Way to Go! Sent from my iPad using VST
  21. Dot, I like both of those. Sent from my iPad using VST
  22. So what are you all thinking of getting? I'm thinking of a flower to go around my ankle. In a few of the petals I'll get dates that are significant to me - my wedding date, my daughter's birthdate, and my sleeve date. Sent from my iPad using VST
