I've seen a thread about this on here and I believe some ppl have it but I think it was due to being lactose which I seen many ppl on this site mention it one time or another

The best think for her to do is to call her insurance every policy is based on what the employers pick .. I have Aetna and I'm doing a supervised diet now but I've seen ppl w the same insurance and didn't have to do it good luck to your friend

I don't think you have wait as long as its with in 2yrs u should be good I also have Aetna ppo .. I have three more diet visit and eval then off to submit papers

You would have to call your insurance each plan is different .. And I would suggest since you had no insurance in three years check your husband first to see if they cover it two if you have a pre existing clause cause some insurance if you haven't been covered in awhile you have to weight a year mine did ... And then go from there

I had to respond to a former poster ... I don't think age has a whole lot to do w if you should get sleeve or not cause you have ppl in there 30s 40etc not following rules and other things w the sleeve .. Yes ppl are rt it will probably effect your social life but being over weight does the same thing so I say if you are mature and you have a big support system go for what you kno .. U have one life and only you can live it no one person is the same ... I'm cheering you on ... Like some one else said just educate your self

I kno what you mean .. I lost 20 lbs so far in three months and I haven't gained any thank god ... Cus I've heard of ppl gaining doing the 6month and not get approved and I also heard of ppl getting approved w the gain I guess it depends on the insurance

Sometimes it's doctors, surgeons ,insurance or nut that have recommendations on how much weight they want u to lose it just depends .. But if u are doing the 6months weigh in I would take this time to change a few bad habits and woe on some new good habits that what I'm working on now I have three visits left

I'm on my fourth month of supervise diet can't wait for it to be over .. Thankful that I had not gained any weight I lose some matter of fact ...

Yep agree with Toyaboo ... My coordinator don't even check to see how things are going with me .. She wants me to meet requirements but u should follow up with me .. I could have jump ship by now she wouldn't even kno it

I say do your best .. Maybe you could drink protein shakes and water all day it might keep I feel ... Not to worry you but I've heard of ppl being opened up and close cause they didn't follow pre op .. Your liver has to be shrink for them to have room to move around in there .. I've also heard of someone's live being nicked do to not following diet ... Thats far more complication good luck to you .. U could do it good thing u chose salad
