  1. I never had any problems with my gallbaldder until after surgery. It was a constant achy dull pain on the right side. It progressively got worse and had to get it taken out 2 weeks after I got my sleeve. I was so terrified to go under the knife again so soon. But luckily the gallbladder surgery was MUCH MUCH easier to recover from....I forgot the name of the test they ran to check my gallbladder but talk to your dr so he can schedule it for u. Good luck!!

  2. My spitting finally stopped...My friend suggested I look on a pregnancy website for solutions.lol.....They said to eat sunflower seeds...or try ice....even grounded coffee....Sucking the sunflower shells did help for a while but it kinda went away on its own. Now its just my heartburn thats kicking my as now....Hopefully urs go away too. *cross fingers*

  3. Every year I always go to the amusement park even though Im a big scaredy cat.lol. I get there and I get on my favorite ride. It has a scary drop and I always have my eyes close and hold on to my neighbors arm. This time it wasn't as scary and I had my eyes open. I felt different. I couldnt put my finger on it. It wasnt pain, just different. I get on a second ride and I felt it again. I then realized that 85% of my stomach i gone so I guess the weightless feeling in their stomach that one would get on a roller coaster isn't as strong now. I still enjoyed myself I just thought that was worth posting about.lol....Anyone else have that feeling??

  4. The pain wasnt the problem for me....It was the nausea!!! I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy. I had to take emend (anti nausea med) the morning of surgery and I had a patch behind my ear. None of that worked and the nurses were giving me two more meds hourly to help relieve it. Personally I would've rather dealt with pain instead.

  5. Thanks so much. I'd have to say I agree with you there!! How are you feeling at almost a month out. Happy with your decision?

Im not going to lie Im not really happy with my decision so far. I read on here its normal to feel that way the first 3 months. Ive lost 38lbs in this first month but its just been an uphill battle. I cannot keep anything down. Its so hard to get my Protein in. I cant even stand drinking Water and Ive always loved to drink Water. Ive had to change up my Vitamins again bc I would throw up my chewables. I don't want to discourage you because your experience can be a total 180 (I sure hope so). Im just waiting for that one morning I go back to being semi-normal.

  6. Hi Everyone, I was sleeved June 2nd and I really haven't been taking great care of myself I started working over night and since then I'm having trouble with getting my fluids and Protein in and I keep forgetting to take my Vitamins I feel nauseous all the time with no appetite and I'm really starting to wonder if this surgery was a mistake I miss being myself :-/ I still can't seem to find a Protein shake I like out of the million I've tryed if anyone has any advice on how to manage everything I would really appreciate it , Thanks

I am in the same exact boat ( I work overnight too) as you with a few more complications. I had my surgery on 6/6/12 and Ive been in the hosp twice since then.I recently got my gallbadder taken out on the 27th.Two surgeries within a month has my body so weak I dunno whats next. Its soooo hard to get my fluids in. I can barely get my nausea/zantac meds down let alone my Vitamins. I knew this wouldnt be a walk in the park but this is alot to deal with. I have my fingers crossed for you.

  7. I don't want to discourage anyone just want to know if others have gone through this and things turned around. Sorry just this forum gives me encouragement at times. Maybe you will be right 1 to 2 weeks. I was hoping because I am 22 tht I would jumped back up on my feet. I've had 2 open heart surgery and that I breezed through but this is much harder for some reason. I pray you make the best decision for yourself. :)

I am in the same boat with you. I am 24 and I thought I would bounce back but boy was I wrong. I had surgery on 6/6/12 and Ive been in the hosp 3 times since. I had problems with nausea, pain,I wasnt able to urine for 2 days and I had to get my gallbladder removed on the 27th. 2 surgeries in one month has put a toll on me but im trying to stay optimistic. Hope u have a speedy recovery.
