  1. Hmm... I don't mean to be devil's advocate here but, in your husbands defense you did say it was ok. And this is your journey not his. It's one thing to be supportive, but at the same time the reality of the situation is food is our problem and we are the ones that decided to do something about it. I feel it is a tad bit unreasonable to expect your family not to continue what seems like their normal routine.

I've came to terms with the fact that my husband is responsible for his own health, and while I hope I can positively influence his food choices, ultimately they are his choices. All you can do is try to focus on what your eating and your recovery. I know it's hard to not be frustrated this early in the game as hormones and food withdrawal are usually at their prime. Best of luck to you.

  2. So I have a non sleeve related question.

I've been working full time and going to school. I'm finally almost done, after this semester I will be 8 credit hours shy of graduation requirements. So I will be done at the end of this year. Hallelujah. Anyhow, my college doesn't do mid year graduations, so I would have to wait until may 2014 to walk across the stage.

I've worked so hard to get my degree, but in all honesty I can't see going back six months later to just walk across some stupid stage. Some of my family members keep pushing me to walk the stage, as I will be the first college graduate in the family. However all that symbolism stuff doesn't really mean much to me, I'm just glad to be done.

I was thinking to have a family celebration at the end of the year once I was done. Anyhow, I just wanted to get some opinions on the matter.
