Ugh I Hate My Lap-Band!
I am so glad that I happened across the sleeve by accident when I was researching the LapBand, because I was pretty much convienced if I was going to have surgery that I would do the LapBand. Thank God I found the Sleeve instead and avoided all those issues. Although to be fair I imagine there are some people that have no problems at all with their bands.

Calm Before The Storm?
5 days out myself. The morphine made me feel weird, nauseated and groggy. They switched over to the Elixir Lortab and that made all the difference in the world. Don't fear the pain as they will find the right pain meds for you and you don't even know for sure if you will have the worst pain, you could be one of the ones that has little to no pain. What a sweet husband!!! You will look dashing walking the halls and do walk the halls! Walking is one of the best medicines against the gas buildups!! Good luck with your surgery!!

You look fabulous! And thanks to the person who provided the explanation of how we could grow taller. I have always been measured at 5'3.5" to 5'4 & when this doctor took my height at 5'2" I was like.... No freaking way!! So they took it again and yep it was true. Freaked me out, I was getting rounder and shorter, dang! So I now have hope I will regain my tall status again. LOL!- 100 Pounds Today On My Scale And Something Else Even Crazier

Same here, clear liquids only week 1- The Scale Lies!
Okay, so I couldn't agree more! Even though I had read on here that I would probably gain weight after surgery because of all the fluids they pumped into me I guess I must not have believed it possible or of course it wouldn't happen to me the scale loves me right? Wrong!! I had surgery on the 5th weighing in at 222.6. I got home yesterday afternoon around 2:00 pm. Did all my stuff getting settled back in and knew I shouldn't weigh but really couldn't resist and imagine the shocked look on my face when the scale spit back in my face 228.4. WTF!!?? Okay, maybe a few pounds but really 6??? So I just shrugged it off and knew I would be peeing it out soon enough, but still, how rude!! This morning I decide okay gonna do it again just to see.....226.2 - okay so I could still be discouraged or say "Hey wow I discarded 2 pounds since yesterday!" LOL - so I opted for the "discarded" approach!! I love this forum and am glad I found ya'll because you understand the ups, downs and overall in between! Everybody have a great day!!- Six Months Out - 85.4 Pounds Gone
You look fabulous!!- Question Of The Day Tuesday
