From what I'm seeing they are shrinking (height and weight). My surgeon's office has me at 5'7.5" , my NUT has me at 5'8.5" and my PCP at 5'9"....go figure!

Thanks! I'm glad they did too! I have an EGD thursday, labs and abdominal ultrasound left to do. Oh yea and my pre-op class. Congrats to you! I'm excited for you. -

The size game is crazy!! I weighed 252lbs and wore a 18/20. I lost 50lbs and could wear a 10. I weigh 253 now and wear a 16...smdh.

December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I am scheduled 12/16. I have my EGD thursday and my labs in early December. Still need to get cleared by PCP and have an abdominal ultrasound. -

I started in April i was finished my insurance requirements by July. I was denied initially because I was not on meds for my comorbidities. (Low bmi). I appealed and won in early September. I scheduled my surgery in December, they had dates that were sooner.

I have Dr. Attia. He is wonderful. Sleeve date 12/16.

Hello all tall sleever girls!! Thank you all for sharing with me! I really appreciate the feedback. After reading thru the responses it appears I am on target.

My surgeon hasn't to this point set a,goal weight for me either, but he asked where I would like to be and agreed that 170 was good weight. My NUT said I don't fit on the bmi scale anyway, so she too agreed that my goal was good. When would the surgeon set a goal weight? I am scheduled for 12/16. My last appt with surgeon is 12/12.

A close friend of mine suggested 150 to me. I still think I will set my first goal at 170 and then decide if I want to lose more.

I saw a post on this forum and a person was relatively tall and 125. WOAHHHH!! Made me think maybe I was coo-coo!!! Seems like we all are in the same ballpark.

Same here...I was 170 before I had children...don't think I can be smaller than that, but I guess we shall see!!
