I edited my original post...the person apologized, and honestly the podter doesn't bear all of the weight of the original post. This site has changed, and not for the better. I hope maybe my edited post will find reception among VSTers. I know there will always be ruffled feathers when you toss hundreds of ppl together from all walks of life, but we can atleast TRY to turn around the negative changes here. We have lost alot of good members recently. Many veterans. When they do come to post an occassional update, they too cite the negativity as a reason. Best wishes.

Wow. I don't think I was being rude OR confrontational. Just stating my view. I guess some ppl are just naturally defensive and inflammatory. I can now see why there has been alot of talk about how this site has become very hostile and people leave. I had not seen it that way before. But I guess a few can ruin a good thing for all. I agree, as I just reread the posts and she even stated that whichever surgeon someone chose, she wished them luck. She was very noncomittal and PC in her own posts. I hate to think a fellow sleever would not be welcomed here for support due to another posters misguided request for information.

I booked 2 roundtrip tickets (for me and my mom)thru Insanely cheap flights for $916 from Va to San Diego. Including taxes and fees. I didnt think that was too bad for 2.

My surgery is March 28th. I had become quite comfy with Omar, and confident with the service provided by him detailed by previous patients. Alina is the lady now answering emails. She seems nice, and answers promptly. Can anyone give a testimony to their experience since Omar's departure?? I just want to know that the full experience is still a positive one, part of my decision besides Dr. Kelly's reputation.

I was under the impression that there was no need to exchange currency for TJ. As American dollars were accepted most everywhere there. But there was a recent post that said I needed to exchange for other expenses (tips, purchases, ect). Can anyone who has been there please advise?
