Juvederm will last usually around 6-9 mos & Restylane lasts 9-12mos,but like I said it's a bit more viscous. I think the Juvederm works best for lips, it's smoother. If I was filling in acne craters or really deep marionette lines (think puppet's mouth) then I use Restylane. The best thing with the Juvederm syringe is that you probably wouldn't use a whole syringe so you could try and purchase half or buy the whole syringe and just keep the unused in a fridge and dated. I have injected women that brought their own in. A lot of times you can add a little Juvederm to the cupid's bow and it pulls/enhances the upper lip nicely and gives a fuller upper lip and then just a little is used to one's preference on the bottom.

well thanks for the heads up mina! That is definitely an area of concern for me as well.

Irene, Juvederm is the best for a soft, suttle enhancement. I am a cosmetic nurse injector and the dr that I work with has taught me several different techniques to ensure optimal results. Restylane is a bit thicker. I have seen smoother, natural looking results with Juvederm. They are priced the same. $750 depending on the dr/med spa. We often joke when someone wants " WANDA" lips. Remember Jamie Foxx's character on In Living Color back in the day? "I'm ready to go". LOL. Good Luck with what ever you decide! BTW I love your smile as is, but understand the desire for a lil pout in your lips!

- Jen, I was sleeved 4/4 and have lost 8lbs. I was really frustrated-as my cal intake has been around 400per day as well. My nut said that my body is in starvation mode and I actually need more Protein and calories. Hopefully week 2 or 3 I will get my BIG #. We should just relax a little and learn how to use our new tools! Are you getting in your 64 oz Water every day? That has been difficult for me due to nausea.

I understand how you feel. I am 10 days out. The first week was very hard and I became dehydrated and it made me feel even worse. I was living off of SF popsicles. I am an ER nurse so I new I was dehydrated, after an IV I felt better. I still slept a lot that first week. I am definitely feeling better now and learning how to eat with my sleeve. im on purees, but had a piece of egg and my sleeve liked it so far!. It's one day at a time. To our health! Wishing you the best~

Hi guys. I had my VSG done 4/4. I had a rough couple of days. No problems with the sx, I just had some issues and extreme nausea coming off anesthesia. I stayed in the hospital a couple of days due to nausea and for hydration purposes. Unfortunately, I had to go back and get a couple of liters of normal saline yesterday. I have been living off SF popsicles, everything else my sleeve does not like.Praying that this passes soon. Thanks for all the support!

I have not been sleeved yet. My ins required a 6 month dr supervised program instead of the 3 that I was told initially, so 3/1/12 is my 6 month visit and we already have everything ready to submit that day. So hopefully I'll get approved and get a date in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the prayers Dooter ~We are at similar starting weights now. I am 339 and was 369 in oct. I have had trouble posting my ticker.

I was in Lane Bryant (of all places) and the sales lady was like, "when are you due honey? You look like you're going to pop!" And that wasn't even me at my heaviest! I was so embarassed and wanted to cry! I just went along with it and said in two months! So I know how you feel. Like Helen the cat said "soon nobody will make that mistake"! Yay!
