  1. Paid $12 for one at Walmart didn't want to spend to much.
  2. Has anyone used bio oil or any other products for stretch marks or scars?
  3. I'm two weeks post op and I like Oh Yeah shakes they have 32 grams of protein but are pretty expensive. I also like unjury. I don't care for the plain because of the weird smell. I do use the chicken flavor with broth and I mix the vanilla flavor with orange crystal light its really good. I use store brand soups. After drinking them everyday they all taste the same. Have to admit I did not get creative during this stage just ready to move on. Also unjury sells individual servings for $2 per pack. I would try those to make sure you like them.
  4. I'm two weeks out and I didn't have a leak test. Congrats to you. The first week was the hardest this second I started feeling normal again.
  5. My back pain is gone also I pretty normal now. I am tired of soup and ready to move on to other foods.
  6. I also had a long gown with a zipper in the front and some really baggy sweats to wear home.
  7. I hit 2 weeks tomorrow but I can't start until 3 weeks. Tomorow I cam eat yogurt and pudding. I see my NUT tommorow. Just curious what type of things are you eating now?
  8. ill be two weeks out tomorrow and can honestly say its getting better. My first week was awful and I snapped at everyone for no reason. I still miss reading but everyday its gets a, little easier. I love my sugar free popcycles not sure I could love without them! I also have started to really enjoy my walks. I put on music zone out and take a nice hour walk. The exercise really helps.
  9. A good book and bubble bath with a no knock unless its an emergency rule for my boys.
  10. I'll be two weeks post op on wednesday and im having the hardest time gettin all my requirements. My NUT started that I need to do 60 60 60 to include 60 minutes of exercise, 60 ounces of water and 60 protein. The past two days I managed to get in my protein but I'm to full to do more then 30 ounces of water. Sleeve Vets when were you able to get all your numbers?
  11. Sleeve date 2/29 and the pain is finally gone. I am dying for food I know its a mental thing and cooking for my family is torture. I am sooooooooooo sick of soup. Wednesday I see my NUT and will hopefully move to yogurt, pudding ect. but even with that soup will be my main meal. How is everyone else doing with the liquids. I can't wait to the mushy stage.
  12. I drink an Oh Yeah vanilla or strawberry shake every morning. They have 32 grams of protein but are pretty expensive. For the rest of the day I supplement with Unjury which you have to order online. I mix a scoop of vanilla with orange crystal light its delicious. Also they have chicken flavor which I mix with my broth. Unjury have about 20 grams per scoop. You can buy individual packs at $2 per pack so you can sample it out. Hope this helps.

  14. I'm starting to feel somewhat normal again. I'm sick of protein and can't wait until I can get some of my protein with food. How about you? Getting all your protein in.
  15. I was sleeved last wednesday and I could have cream soup but I have to strain it. I haven't had any problems with it and actually find it pretty filling. I can't really drink a lot but I try to sip on it for lunch. I went to the doctor today and all is good. I go to my nutritionist next wednesday and I can start on yogurt pudding ect. My doctor did tell me if I try sonething new and it doesn't agree with me to take a break and try again in a few days. He says everyone is different and just because its time for you to change your diet doesn't mean your body is ready. Do not force yourself. I'm a newbie to but hope this helps. Congrats
  16. I was sleeved 2/29 and my lower back is pretty sore. I notice if I do a lot during the day or drive a lot in the evenings it seems to kick in. I had f/u with my doctor today and he said its normal. Hope you feel better
  17. I have to stay on liquids until two weeks. After that I can add on thicker liquids like pudding, yogurt ect. I did order the unjury powder online and its helping me get my protein in. The chicken flavor and the plain. Chicken blends in great with soups and its 20 grams. The plain gets mixed in with water and crystal light. So confusing how all the doctors have different diet plans.
  18. To love myself more!! Once I started gaining weight I could care less about myself. I treated my body horribly. Newly sleeved 2/29 I'm taking this as a new chance to love me and treat my body as so.
  19. I just checked and I can have strained cream soup also. Woohoo. I need something with substance. I can't imagine how hard it is with young kids. My boys are 14 & 16. I do remember those days.
  20. My menu doesn't even allow for soup just broth until next week ugh. Going to call my nutrionist because that sounds really good!
  21. Hey guys I'm actually feeling cold also. Today has probably been the best day so far. I actually went grocery shopping this morning which allowed me to get my exercise in. I came home and slept for hours. I am dying for real food. I won't eat any of course but so sick of liquids. I did manage to drink a shake with 32 protein for breakfast. Keep telling myself one more day and we will have a week in.
  22. Sending up prayers right now. Good luck
  23. Peppermint tea is great for upset stomachs.
  24. Surgery date was 2/29. Today aside from a little cold I'm actually feeling a little better. Not myself still a little sore but I am holding down liquids and warm broth has become my best friend. I can't seem to get enough of it. My body is enjoying the rest. I can't remember the last time I've been forced to be still and not take care of everyone else. I made the mistake of getting on the scale yesterday and yikes I gained 10 pounds. I know so much of it is water weight especially since it TOM. With my time off I've been loving this site. It's helped me so much prior to surgery and honestly I feel so prepared for what's next. Not to mention the before and after pictures. So my question is when did you notice the scale moving?
  25. Today has definitely been a good day so far. Warm broth has become my best friend it feels awesome going down. I'm getting my liquids in and I don't feel so awful. Are you getting in your protein in?
