  1. I have to stay on liquids until two weeks. After that I can add on thicker liquids like pudding, yogurt ect. I did order the unjury powder online and its helping me get my protein in. The chicken flavor and the plain. Chicken blends in great with soups and its 20 grams. The plain gets mixed in with water and crystal light. So confusing how all the doctors have different diet plans.
  2. To love myself more!! Once I started gaining weight I could care less about myself. I treated my body horribly. Newly sleeved 2/29 I'm taking this as a new chance to love me and treat my body as so.
  3. Surgery date was 2/29. Today aside from a little cold I'm actually feeling a little better. Not myself still a little sore but I am holding down liquids and warm broth has become my best friend. I can't seem to get enough of it. My body is enjoying the rest. I can't remember the last time I've been forced to be still and not take care of everyone else. I made the mistake of getting on the scale yesterday and yikes I gained 10 pounds. I know so much of it is water weight especially since it TOM. With my time off I've been loving this site. It's helped me so much prior to surgery and honestly I feel so prepared for what's next. Not to mention the before and after pictures. So my question is when did you notice the scale moving?
  4. I just checked and I can have strained cream soup also. Woohoo. I need something with substance. I can't imagine how hard it is with young kids. My boys are 14 & 16. I do remember those days.
  5. My menu doesn't even allow for soup just broth until next week ugh. Going to call my nutrionist because that sounds really good!
  6. Hey guys I'm actually feeling cold also. Today has probably been the best day so far. I actually went grocery shopping this morning which allowed me to get my exercise in. I came home and slept for hours. I am dying for real food. I won't eat any of course but so sick of liquids. I did manage to drink a shake with 32 protein for breakfast. Keep telling myself one more day and we will have a week in.

Sleeved On 2/27, Two Days Post Op

I didn't expect to weigh more but got in the scale and it went way up. I should have known something was wrong when I couldn't put my sweats on in the hospital. I'm really bloated and I know I have a ton of water weight. Think I will wait awhile before I hit the scale again.
  11. @hawaii I'm praying. I've been sleeping a lot also and my body is still very sore. Everyday I'm able to get in more liquids not the required amounts but enough. Lastly my chest is still hurting when I drink. At this stage I prefer to sleep!!! Can't wait to feel better!!!!
  12. Hey other sleevers from 2/29. Just wondering how you are feeling?
  13. Wow you look amazing and should be so proud.

    Just A Few Questions

I have BCBC PPO in North Carolina and had no problem getting approved. BCBS is really pro bariatric surgery according to my doctor office. Check with then and they will tell you requirements. Mine required BMI of 35 with something else like diabetes. Good luck

    4 Days Post Op

My surgery was Wed and I experienced the same pain. My doctor suggested to sit up or even stand when drinking. Its helped a lot. Also make sure to take really small sips. The smaller the sips the less pain for me.
  16. I have bcbs of nc. My doctor office says that they love bcbs because they are very pro bariatric surgery. You should be good especially if the doctor office is not worried. Good luck
  17. Surgery day I felt wonderful, yesterday morning awesome. Narcotics wore off felt like I've been tossed around the inside of a dryer. Lesson one sit completely up when drinking or it feels like needles going down. They decided to keep me another day. I had awful heartburn my doc says this is normal. On top of that I had these horrible stomach spasms. Not sure if that is the name for it but every once in awhile it hit almost like a contraction. Again my doc not worried. Anyone else experience this? On a good note so far im only on one insulin. Hopefully it will stay that way. At this point I just want to go home and sleep it off. You get absolutely no sleep in the hospital! Im cranky if you can't tell and can't wait to feel just a little better

Still a little scared but have gotten so many calls from family members just telling me they love me. Makes me realize how blessed I truly am. Keep me in your prayers n see you on the skinny side!
  20. The Vitamine Shop sells lots of individual servings so I tried a lot. I also ordered unjury which I've heard amazing things about. I had my surgery yesterday morning and I've been sipping on Oh Yeah vanilla and it taste amazing. They are pretty expensive but lactose free. Hope this helps.
