  1. So last night I went to a concert. I can slowly feel my self-esteem growing as my weight goes down. For so long I hated going out and hated taking pictures. My weight loss is slow but I am feeling great. Joined the Y and I'm loving exercising, water Zumba is definitely my favorite!!! Anyway yesterday went to shop at Marshalls to buy a dress for the concert and I didn't have to shop in the plus sizes. I am so happy because my discount stores such as Marshall and TJ Maxx have horrible choices in plus size. I brought my dress in the regular section and it's a large. It's funny because I continued to pick out really large clothes to try on and they were too big. When I did try on smaller sizes I almost fainted because they fit. So to all my sleeve people the scale may move slow but it doesn't always mean you aren't getting smaller and toned. I love my sleeve!!!
  2. My pounds loss isn't great either i was sleeved on 2-29-12 but i have lost a ton of inches. My doc says because i don't have as much weight to lose I'm not going to lose as fast. My NUT has me eating 1/4 cup of food 5 times per day. My protein should be at 80 but I haven't mastered that yet. I'm also required to do 60 minutes of exercise 6 days per week. I started off walking but have since joined the YMCA. Now I have much better variety and love water exercises. My doc says if I'm not drenched in sweat at the end of a workout i didn't work hard enough. So maybe, you just need to change some things. Good luck just got off a three week stall so i understand. i also love to compare pictures don't let the scale discourage you
  3. Hey guys I'm a little over 2 months post op and I've been feeling really nauseous. Plan on calling my doctor tom. Prior to this I've between doing great. Its been going on alot and is really making it difficult to eat. The feeling is there even when i don't eat but when i do it gets worse. I never actually vomit. I feel like i have an excess amount of saliva in my mouth gross i know. I posted yesterday but reposted today seeing if anyone has experienced anything similar???? Someone said acid reflux but most acid reflux information says heart burn and that is not it

    Eggs And Pain?

Could it be gas from the egg. I loved eggs prior to surgery. I've tried to eat them several times and they taste awful. But i can eat them if they are mixed in a salad like tuna.

    Nausea

No I am really careful about eating small amounts and chewing really well. With slimming do you feel nauseous even when you aren't eating?
  6. Haven't been on in awhile being a single mom who works full time and with exercise there seems to be no time left in the day. Ok my question just recently I've been hit with the worst nausea. Even the thought of food makes me feel sick and i have to force myself to eat. I even resorted to taking the nausea pills i got post op but they don't seem to help. I feel like my mouth is filled with thick saliva YUCK!!!! I'm going to call the doc on monday to see if they can prescribe something. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this????
  7. I left the hospital on zegerid but was doing so well I didn't need it. Ice never had acid reflux and was starting to wonder if this is what it feels like???
  8. I'm six weeks out today and was really frustrated with the scale but continue to walk everyday. Yesterday my son made a slide show of before and after pictures and that made me feel so much better. Still have a ways to go but loving the progress so far.
  9. Please include me sleeved 2/29
  10. Thanks. Have you taken before and after pictures and compared. Before these pictures I swore I wasn't losing any weight. I think it's harder for us to notice.
  11. Thanks everyone I feel great. I'm down two sizes in clothes. According to the scale I've lost 25 pounds. I've had a couple stalls but notice once it's over I'll lose alot at once. I am walking five miles a day and doing intervals of jogging at .25 miles. Most of all I am happy.
  12. I'm feeling great. eating is no longer a joy for me just something I feel like I have to do. Weight loss is slow but I an getting smaller
  13. I'm walking 4 to 5 miles but was able to get in a .25 mile jog with my son running beside me. He's an athlete in great shape it felt so great to run with him. My goal is a mile just one step at a time. Sleeved 2/29 starting weight 242 current weight 215
  14. For me a diabetic who craves sugar so bad it use to wake me up from my sleep this is awesome. Craziest part of all I'm not even tempted to eat some. Five weeks out, went from four diabetic meds to only needing one which I'm slowly weaning off of. I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!!!!

Help, Day 10 I Want Food

I'm five weeks out and remember that feeling of needing to chew. SF popsicles were and still are one of my favorites treats but during those first couple of weeks I couldnt survive without them. I also would strain clam chowder after the first two weeks. It was nice and filling. Go to the store and buy SF pops. Tropical flavor are to die for my boys even love them

    Damn Easter Candy

No candy in my house this year. My boys are 14 & 16. Funny thing is my boys aren't really into sweets. Thankfully that is something I didn't pass down to them. Now post sleeve I realize I would be the one eating most of their candy. This is the first year I didn't buy candy for me put it in their baskets lol lol.
  18. Everyone experience its different but one thing that most of is have in common is we will all say out gets better. Once I started healing I felt better them pre surgery. Like everyone else I would suggest walking. Also I hate protein but the one I am able to tolerate is Oh Yeah shakes give them a try. You will feel better soon!
  19. Just checking in on my fellow leap day sleevers. How is everyone doing? I am down 22 pounds not a, lot. I feel great. Eating is getting easier. Still having a rough time getting all my protein and water in but its getting better. Biggest challenge right now is knowing when to stop eating. Being full feeds horrible. How's everyone else doing?

    Help! Grazing!

I also graze but on healthy food. For example at work I may nibble on my lunch for a couple of hours. Not sure if this is good but it seems to be working for me. I can only eat small amounts and hate the feeling of being full so I eat a, little at a time. Cheese seems to be my favorite.
  21. Went back to work this week and I'm so happy that the weekend is finally here. Talk about tired but still loving my sleeve!

  22. Reading the responses I remembered that I did sleep in a recliner my first week and it helped a lot!!
