I didn't need any special help, I checked my bag so I wouldn't have to lift it. I flew from SD to Pittsburgh with one connection. I am not going to lie, the first leg of the trip was miserable! I was in the middle of the row seated next to a crazy woman who cried the whole time and kept asking me to put her pierced ear ring in! 2nd part of the flight was much better. I was next to an empty seat and sipped on hot tea the whole way home. It was a loooong day !

Glad you are feeling a little better! My sister and I were sleeved by Dr Kelly in March. She had horrible nausea the whole first day and I woke up and felt great. I was so sorry for her!

I think right now Dr Garcia is about $800 less than Dr Kelly. I'm sure that has a lot to do with it . I am 6 months out from surgery with Dr Kelly and couldn't be happier!

I would start by just trying to be more physically active. Try taking a few short walks throughout the day or find an activity that you really like (swimming, bike riding). I would also try just lowering your carbs and maybe substituting one meal a day for a protein shake. Don't be too hard on yourself. I personally think your fitness level is a better indicator on how well your recovery will go, than a number on the scale.

I didn't use either of those Dr's but my sister and I were sleeved on the same day in MX. It has been so awesome sharing this experience with her!!!

Totally agree! If you let yourself get all caught up in the numbers out can drive you insane. I am about 20lbs from goal and I jump on the scale every week or so but I am really just enjoying my life and not stressing about it!

I just happened to catch it last night on Discovery Fitness & Health. It followed 2 wls patients, who had lost huge amounts of weight, thru the process of getting total body lifts. It was really interesting (a little gory as they show the procedures) but worth a look!

I don't think the problem is that Dr's in MX won't accept it, its that Care Credit won't pay Dr's out of the country.

Have to agree, self pay in Western PA was going to be 18,000. I went to MX in March and never regretted it for a second.

I went with Dr Kelly and Trish was my coordinator. She was fabulous.

The only thing that doesn't sound right is the 3 nights. I was there 5 nights/6 days.

That actually sounds good. Starbucks makes the single serve instant coffee packets. I wonder how well they dissolve.

My favorite was cottage cheese mixed with ricotta cheese,a little pasta sauce,a sprinkle of parmesan, heated in micro. So good!

I was in Florence Hosp for my surgery with Dr Kelly and I did not tip anyone in there. I didn't even think of it to be honest and had never seen anyone mention it. It is a real hosp, I was next door to someone receiving cancer treatment, and many others on the floor were there for issues unrelated to wls. I don't think tipping them is customary. I spent about $180 at Rays jewelry in the Revolution. It was all so beautiful! I tipped the driver $15 each way, hotel staff $2 or $3 depending on the situation.
