    NSV shout outs

My favorite NSV so far! This past Friday, I went to pick up my son from daycare, & the owner told me how great u looked & told me to throw away the jeans I was wearing because they were sooo floppy! Her exact words, "Those jeans are beating you up, PLEEZ throw them away!" Add that to being able to wrap in a towel after my shower & my chinny chin chin going away and I'm feeling GREAT!!! Crackers?

Crackers REALLY fill me up. My sleeve us very restrictive--3 crackers with ANYTHING on them are a full meal for me. If they are supposed to be a slider, somebody forgot to tell Tiny Sleevie! Lol! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  4. I need food help! PRE-sleeve, I never cooked, I made reservations! Now I need sleeve friendly recipes. I feel like my taste buds are in retirement, and I'm stuck in a world of bland, soft foods. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    The Secret Of My Success

LilMissDiva, I noticed you said you stay away from crackers...I'm seriously struggling calorie-wise and crackers are a life saver for me. My NUT has me eating baked whole wheat/grain crackers. Please advise me on this. I will be 6 weeks this Monday and I need help with food, recipes etc!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Hmmm

My NUT recommend retried Beans, along with my surgeon as a sleeve friendly mushy...I don't eat beans...but when I got desperate, they tasted mighty fine! I was worried about the starch, but in a calorie deficit...does it really matter? I <3 refried beans now! Lol! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    March 24 Th Check In

Congrats on being close to goal!! Mine is still located in a galaxy far, far away! Lol! I started my journey at almost 300 lbs & I'm really working hard on accepting the fact that I'm not dreaming, this weight loss is real, and that I'm not going to wake up from this wonderful dream! I'm enjoying every single second of this journey & I KNOW that I will reach my goal--and that is priceless! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    I Had My Surgery But

My process is simple--I don't own a scale! I don't have to worry about being addicted to something that I don't have! Lol! I only get weighed when I go to the Dr, once a month. I have been able to see my weight loss over time and that works fine for me. In 5 weeks I have lost 43 lbs & I realize that I didn't get to 298 lbs (my surgery day weight) in a day & I won't lose it in a day. Everyone has to do what works for him/her...good luck! African American Sleevers

My only regret is that I wasn't sleeved sooner! I'm 5 1/2 weeks out, down 43 lbs and I'm loving my new healthy lifestyle Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Grits And Eggs!

Jeni-that's exactly the same diet I was given. I did not blenderize my food-I just ate naturally mushy items. And my list said I could start soft noodles, so I ate lots of Lo Mein--with shrimp! Lol! I'll be six weeks out in a few days & the only food I'm missing are sushi & salad. My nurse told me I can add in my sushi rolls starting next week and salad too if I'm comfy with it. I can't wait & I hope the salad goes down okay because I love salad! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Anyone Done Lip Augmentation?

Can I say PLEEZ just look into using plumpers. Like the earlier post, lip work is horribly obvious...even to folks who think they've only done a little bit. Duck lip is a horrible epidemic! You are beautiful..believe that! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  14. Twoboysandagirl, you hit goal in 5 months?? Wow!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    African American Sleevers

I do not own a scale, so I rarely weigh myself. I stepped on the scale at my Mom's house...and I've lost 10 more lbs! Yay! That's a total of 43 lbs in 5 weeks! I keep pinching myself...I never thought I could lose weight and I feel as if I am living a dream! I will be so glad when my physical therapist releases me to exercise, so I can really get active Sent from my iPhone using VST

  19. I'm 5 weeks out today, and I've been feeling normal for about 1 1/2 weeks now. I love my new life & I'm really excited by the changes happening in my body! Everyone is telling you the same thing because it's true: "Hang in there, it gets better everyday!" Sent from my iPhone using VST
  20. I didn't blenderize anything either! For my pizza craving, I just take a slice & eat the meat & cheese off the top! I've been eating pizza this way since week 3, lol! (But only three times) Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Ok, Tell Me The Truth....

I can't wait to hear the answer!!! My NUT told me I could eat sushi at 6 weeks, it's considered a salad...I'm 5 weeks tomorrow...my nurse told me that sushi would definitely be a good food to eat, however I am terrified of vomiting & sliming! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Valentine Day Sleevers

I'm struggling with my calorie/protein intake also, and my surgeon has me shooting for 1000 calories a day, though 1200 would be perfect. Using My Fitness Pal has REALLY helped me with my meals, Protein & Water. I plan ahead for lunch at work and at 5 weeks out tomorrow, my sleeve feels completely normal. I'm looking forward to sushi & salad!! I've been taking it slow with my meal progression because this is a lifetime decision and I don't want to throw up or anything that might hurt my sleeve Sent from my iPhone using VST
  23. I'm glad you did the test! I've been wondering about chicken nuggets myself! Lol! I'll be 5 weeks out tomorrow & my only cravings are sushi & salad! Those are my favorite foods and I hope my sleeve & tastebuds like them! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  24. I'm 4 1/2 weeks out and my tummy is still tender. If I overdo it, my left side gets all achy & I have to rest. My Dr. reminded me that even though it was done laproscopicly, the sleeve is a major surgery & the stomach is a major organ that takes time to heal. He told me to expect tenderness for up to 8 weeks after surgery. Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Should I Worry

I never had the runs, but today, for the first time in my life I was constipated! WTHeck!!! That's some miserable stuff!!! I had been slacking on my water--no more! I'm completely grossed out! Sent from my iPhone using VST
