Furby036 got a reaction from BLERDgirl in Let's talk activity trackers...
On my Misfit Activity tracker it does do a good job of monitoring your sleep. It would say out of 8 hours of sleep you got 5 hours and 57 minutes of sleep. I thought it was pretty accurate considering how tired I felt. How ever with the Garmin on the PC dashboard it shows you movement activity which I would assume is when you are lightly sleeping and it shows you the time.
I added you BLERDgirl to my connections it is waiting on approval it says My display name is Furby036 and real name is Sheila Bergeron.

I see you looked it up, but for the benefit of others reading this, it depends on how old the HRM is. I LOVED the loop and hope they resolve the shirt battery life issue. That and the fact that MFP doesn't sync with it are the 2 biggest drawbacks.
I'm Milaxx. I haven't added any connections yet so this will be nice!

BLERDgirl, I just got a Vivosmart yesterday. What is your username and I can add you to my connections so we can compete on who is doing more. It will all be for fun but also keep us motivated. I'm going to be really getting serious about it after the holidays.

I researched activity trackers for some time. I wanted a few basic things: it needed to be waterproof since I do Water aerobics as my primary work out, I wanted it to count steps, I wanted it to remind me to move when I had been inactive too long and I wanted the info to be on the tracker & not have to pair it with a cell phone or look at my cell phone to check my activity. Bottom line is not many are Water proof.
I initially had the Polar Loop. I loved it. It was easy use, had all the things I wanted and was easy to use. The only down side was the short battery life. I found I needed to charge it every night which was annoying. It could only be charged via USB toggle.
I then tried the Misfit shine. It was far too complicated for it's own good. I disliked that I need my phone to check my progress. I returned that as soon as it came and I got a look at set up.
I currently have the Vivosmart. So far I love it. It even give me notifications when I get an email. I also considered the Vivofit, but I like the sleeker look of the Vivosmart. I like that unlike the Polar Loop, I can synch the Vivosmart with Myfitnesspal. It has a battery life of 7 days and you can use either a USB port on your computer or an AC adapter plugged into a wall outlet. It can take up to 2 hours to receive a full charge.
Both the Polar Loop and the Vivosmart/vivofit can be paired with heart rate monitors, however heart rate monitors do not work under water.

I use a Garmin ViVo Fit. It's battery is good for 1 year, (changed like a watch battery), and you can use it with their heart rate strap for workouts. It does the pedometer thing like all the trackers and basic sleep movement tracking as well. It also has a "move bar" which is a little line that turns red when you've been sitting for too long. Just a reminder to get up and take a short walk regularly. It synchs with Garmin Connect, (their cloud) which can also push info to MFP for exercise tracking and calorie calculation. Mine has helped me during the loss phase, but even more in maintenance so I know how many calories to add based on my activity level to maintain. It looks like a basic watch with a time display. I never take mine off!

No it is unflavored. But it is awesome can't taste it on anything and instead of a huge scoop the scoop is about a tablespoon.

I did the online application and got a call saying they needed my doctor to write a prescription. My doctor did the prescription and she even did one for Vitamins and a scar cream. I called and talk to insure.com people and they said it was being processed and I should be getting a call once they are filling my prescription and mailing it to me!

I ordered mine yesterday. If you go to mypoints.com and go to daily deals you can get a $10.00 of promo code. I got mine for $89.96 free shipping!! Don't know if that's a good deal, but I felt it was considering eBay is around same price.

Im on Monday too! I had a dream about surgery. My dream was they were wheeling me to the operating room and put me on the table. The whole time I had this calmness over me like everything was going to be ok. It was weird but I really believe everything will be ok.
As for the clear diet I'm nervous not really sure what I can have or not have. I know not to have anything red and no beef broth. Can I have Protein drinks?
I've got most of my stuff packed. I still trying to figure out if I want to take my makeup. I'm thinking no because I will be busy walking or sleeping. When I come home I probably will just want to take a shower. So far I have packed: lip balm, toothpaste, toothbrush, laptop and charger, couple magazines, medications I take daily, Shampoo, soap, facial wipes, down south wipes , Water for on the way home, a moo moo when I leave the hospital, undies, pads just in case flo shows up, body pillow, blanket for on the way home, a Sippy cup so I sip not gulp Water. Trying to train myself I think that pretty much is it.
I hope everyone has a great surgery and a speedy recovery. It's going to be great to call ourselves a loser!
